Unholy sanctuary bug !
They say death is the only true sanctuary. Why prolong the suffering any more?
In before “working as intended”.
10/10
I was hoping it would actually kill me, but the trait just doesn’t activate. I’m kind of disappointed.
I think I should remove this quote given the recent developement.

How long did it take to fix a huge bug like flesh of the master? 4 months? Whereas they hotfix the steal bug straight after the patch. What a joke.
Necromancer/Casual Warrior

Yep can confirm it’s bugged out
I also 100% confirm it does not work.

Probably. Took us 4 months to be told Putrid Mark being gutted was a stealth nerf, took around 4 months for downed state to be fixed. In fact, 4 months seems to be the expected duration to wait for anything to be fixed for us.

Still worthwhile to have Zealot’s IMO. A few different builds you can play with that make good use of it.

I have zealot armour crafted for him. It was to test if I could make a life steal build work, and it does very well. But if unholy sanctuary is bugged he’ll need to be put on hold for a while. Was doing world completion with him two.
Next necro will probably be a down state build, because that seems to be where anet wants us.
I tested and it’s bugged, the character is downed normally, ignoring the trait.

We are getting off topic but I am thinking of making a zealot’s set, too. Precision will not go to waste. Right now, I have a shaman’s set with Exuberance that converts some of the vitality to power and healing for mediocre damage and good tankiness but it has condition damage as its third stat besides vitality and healing. The Exuberance set is only good for PUGs gone wrong or mass res’ing during world events. More power is needed.
Cleric’s may be good if I could find a way to convert toughness to power, precision, or healing but that would still mean traiting DM, which gives no healing.
Getting the perfect mix of stats is a challenge. Necromancer needs power and healing. Matching armor like that to runes and sigils that feed back with synergy is one of the curiosities I pursue on occasion.
Necromancer has a good pool of health to begin with and, because DS excludes healing and the profession has no other way to avoid damage, “sustain” is difficult making heal power for stronger spikes a real constraint.
Consumables have some stat conversions. Sharpening Stones convert Toughness and Vitality to Power, Maintenance Oils do the same to Precision. Ice Cream converts both to Healing Power and can actually be used alongside either of the other two.
Thank you for the reminder, Drarnor. I need to get into the habit of associating certain consumables with specific builds
I need to do so as well. I have a ton of food in my inventory/bank that I just never use. Mainly because I always just pull out the birthday blaster…
So anet, any fix date?
The trait used to work before that silly patch, thank you anet, thank you very much
I wouldn’t expect a fast fix. My guess is when they made all the downed state fixes that this trait, which is very likely tied to downed state in the part of the code that forces you into DS instead of being downed, they introduced this bug.

Actually pretty happy with this bug, now when I see another necro on my team I know he most likely won’t hit like a wet piece macaroni (I know the saying is noodle but a noodle has more dps)

Warlord Sikari (80 Scrapper)
I think that’s a record for a Necro bug.
Now if only they could be this hasty to fix Moa and minions, amirite guis?!

Too complicated. :p
Ill have to tip my hat at anet. good job of fixing a bug within 24hours. To be honest i had already started playing another character because i thought it would take yous 4 months
Really impressed that they fixed it in a day, effectively a few hours of work.
They really do care
