Unyielding Blast stealth tweak?
I think there is more to it than just that. Last night, I’m positive I saw my life blast swerving to hit an aetherblade that jumped to the side after I fired. This happened multiple times, so I think Unyielding Blast (at least in PvE) is currently homing.
@ Ahratan , nope i’ve used unyielding blast for quite a while and lb hits targets behind your original target (that;s what you meant right)?
@ Dranror i always thought lb is homing…i can remember specific fights in pvp and im fairly certain it is homing in pve
Dark Path is homing, but I don’t recall life blast being homing. Even if it has been, I’ve never seen it do a 60 degree turn mid-flight to hit my target before.
Life blast in general is homing in around a 30 cone, Unyielding is double that at least, has been since the general piercing projectile update.
Life Blast has some crazy homing potential. I know this because during the lyssa boss event in malchors where she teleports around i just spam life blast and unless she teleports behind me it pretty much always hits even after the blast takes off and she teleports. I cant think of another example atm but it has been this way for awhile now.

It wasn’t always like that. I remember when I used to zerg with my necro in WvW. Always had to target the furthest target in order to tag everything in between, if I relied on tab-targetting it would grab the closer targets and it wouldn’t go beyond.
Guess I just never ended up in a situation before where I was using life blast with frequency. I recently got the Zodiac armor skin to put on my power set, so now I’m no longer embarrassed by the crafted exotic armor.
LB has always been homing. I’ve seen the projectile take 90 degree turns to hit its target before (thief shadowstepping, etc). Its just different from all the other homing projectiles in the game in that it never curves to hit its target. It’ll take some crazy angles to do it.
As far as the target piercing, thats also always been the case. Lining the projectile up is still a problem, however, since most of the time you fire the thing down at a slight angle, so that by the time it hits your intended target, its flying into the ground itself.
^ And in the svanir fotm, at the boss, lich’s 1 can follow the boss and connect, but anything after that first one and no. Note: Lich 1 has to be used before boss teleports.
