After I upgraded my armor with upgrade components it shows 5/2 in red color. What is wrong with it?

You’re using 5 pieces of a rune that can only have up to 2 bonuses.

Yes, you can only have two bonuses, but you are wearing 5 pieces of it. So you got the 2 pieces of bonus, but are wearing more.

Major and Superior runes.

use different runes, use gemstones you sometimes get when mining, at low level any stat is good, real gear is for lvl 80, spending money on gear below that is a waste of in game gold imo unless you are dying to much then replace the lowest level gear you have. you get gear from story quests and drops that should be enough to survive to 80
