Utility Speculation (tin hat)
We get meditations:
-Teleport, but instead of burning you apply aoe chill and blind (stunbreak).
-Condi cleansing, but instead of turning them into boons you give condis to enemies around you aoe (stunbreak), if no enemies than just remove condis.
-Remove 1 boon and do dmg (more dmg if boon is removed) aoe.
-Teleport to injured friendly target giving both aegis and both when doing dmg 25% of it return as health for 4 sec (also from condis).

We get Venom (Necromancer/thief) :
It doesn’t work with thief so it should be ok that necromancer get a hold of those. All in all, it will be useless but whatever it fit the gloomy necro theme.
We get Physical skills (Necromancer/Warrior) :
Necromancer should melee to be hit to death and it’s marvellous, with physical skills you gotta be at melee range to use them. I can see a trait that would gve retaliation on use. Yeah, it already feel OP.
We get Glyph (Necromancer/elementalist) :
Elementalist glyph effect with the necromancer’s attunment. So that’s glyph of death storm, glyph of death elemental… (This wouldn’t be to bad, maybe)
We get Consecration (Necromancer/Guradian) :
Something with terribad long cool down. Yeah that’s the necro spirit for you!
We get Gadget (Necromancer/Engineer) :
I’d be amazed to see that and how they would explain it.
We get Mantra (Necromancer/mesmer) :
Poor effect, long cast time. Well… this make sense.
We get shout (Necromancer/Ranger) :
Shout end up being command to an additional pet gained by specialization.
You forgot about spirit weapons, intended to open up an entirely new playstyle to the necromancer.
Give us meditations or deceptions but we’ll probably get stances and the defiance bar if not shouts.

If necromancers get gadgets, I’m SOOOOO creating a necro.

Rev wont get shouts. There will be 6 shouts. rev will get 5 utilities.
Shouts will go to either Necro (60%) Ele (25%) or thief (15%). Theres no real other other option.
Warrior has shouts. Guard has shouts. Ranger has shouts. Engi getting new toys (flying machines not from hammer skills). Mesmer getting wells.

so unoriginal. yay more melee necro. yeah, like our double health pool can stand up to melee. sure, you can go tank, and you will hit like a wet noodle. Sweet, shouts… i just can’t see these being good at all.
They probably wont be. But at least they will give us more instant cast utility.
Like I said in some other post, they could make shouts at least a somewhat useful.
Stunbreaks, Resistance, Stability, AoE taunt. Could be good for us.

I completely agree. I don’t think it fits thematically either. But look at what necros have been begging for since the beginning of the game: More group utility. It seems like a fix in that department and might not be bad!
Personally I would love to see a greatsword that is ranged and power like the mesmer’s. Not the same skills mind you, but the idea of using something so brute-force-like as a greatsword imbued with dark magic.
However, considering mesmers are getting wells that maybe too close to similar designs. So its more of a pipe dream.

We get ‘Pillow’ skills to further alienate us from the rest of the professions. Necro’s ‘profession color’ is changed to Pastel Pink. Josh laughs maniachly.

If the clues that Arena net left us with Marjory then the necromancer will gain the specialization of the Ritualist. And this would mean we get spirits. Or “Binding Rituals”. But that isn’t to say we couldn’t get a completely new skill type such as Orders.
If they give us shouts, my eye will start twitching and straight up walk out on the necromancer. No, will never touch the profession again. I’ll switch my main to mesmer, revenant or Engineer. Not dealing with that kitten.
You’re fine with them getting more AI fodder but will walk out of they give them more support?
Thief is more likely to get shouts and transform it into bard. And new weapon they get is warhorn. And yeah shouts are prety boring :p .
