If this is the case, Reaper and Blood will be a kitten good combination

Reaper and Blood is already a pretty sweet combo since every shout can proc Vampiric, whatever the minion shout is will proc Vampiric Master, a lot of our skills have not only multiple hits in AoE but also whirl finishers for extra siphoning. If Blood Magic gets a decent rework we have a lot of sustain options.

Shouts however will suffer the same problems of signet of the locust.

I’m not certain about the shouts in general though, including that one. I like minion sustain better than the jagged horrors. Unless, of course, they beef up the horrors or replace them in that shout. But, that being said, with these two traits doing their thing at the same time, I see a lot of potential in a GS minion build. Even without an AI rework, I think it’ll be at least semi-feasible.

I don’t think that most siphon based builds will be running tons of shouts, with the possible exception of the heal, and then maybe 1 of the utility slots for a shout that fits the situation. I think with the whirls and leaps and siphoning we’ll end up benefiting more from wells especially with the ground targeting. This is specific to maximizing the siphon, though.
