Viability of Necro Power-Tank
Necros dont have cleave, and that fact pretty much destroys any chance of an effective bunker.

Why would you need cleave as bunker?
A bunker is normally a build that sits on a capture point and makes sure that no one decaps it or if on the mid point supports allies.
So wouldnt be high sustain+ stability the most important things for a bunker not cleave?
Though cleave is always nice, i guess?
This will open up a ton of different options. Condition tanks with 6 in spite, healers with 6 in blood magic and soul reaping, straight up bunkers with 6 in death magic. This patch opens up a ton of different options. Even the knew curses trait is severely under rated. Two boons into conditions every 15 seconds already seems highly underrated.
extra dodges, real stability, mobility skills,
burst skills, sustain, or good support. GG ANET.
run staff as well and it could be a pretty good build idea, since staff gives good aoe damage plus regen on a stupidly short cooldown.
Given that most of the damage in this game is avoidable with proper tactics and dodging, I don’t think a PVE tank build is viable. If a zerker warrior can survive, then what point would there be in having a tanky necro?
Since there is no threat either, you can’t really tank anything but stuff you should ultimately be avoiding. A good build if you are learning the content, but I don’t think it would be a viable alternative on a regular basis.
Our support options just remain too weak to justify a tanky necro. We don’t give out enough boons or healing to justify taking a slot with that role. This patch doesn’t seem to be changing that, unless the LB heal is AOE range 600 around the target hit or something ridiculous like that.
