In a meta where almost every roaming classes 1-shots you (unless you have blocks, invuln, evades, etc…), I decided to create a build that focused on toughness in order to sustain through most burst (specifically, WvW zerging and roaming).

Thanks to the Death Magic tree (specifically, Corrupter’s Fervour), you can easily get 3k+ power and 3k+ toughness, on top off 100% DS crit, and about 183% crit damage (admittedly the biggest draw back of the build being crit damage).
I understand vitality scales better as a defensive stat for Necros due to DS scaling, but the damage boost off toughness was just too nice to give up.
I have more clips that involved proper 1v1’s that I’ll post soon, if anyone is interested.
Note: Sometimes I switched to 2-2-1 in Curses for the auto-condi transfer and weakness against stuff like burn guards and thieves.
