1) Add Downed Execute to Grave Digger. (same mechanic as Daredevil Elite but on 0 cooldown)

2) Make RS2 an Evade and 900 units.

3) Make RS4 block melee hits and reflect projectiles.

4) Change Blighter’s Boon back. (please really do this one)

Post your ideas! I’ve heard enough about nerfs, let’s get crazy!

Not sure if joke thread or serious.

Here’s my shot: Every time you use Gravedigger, you summon Trahearne as an ally.

While it seems weak in PvE, it’s really powerful in Conquest because nobody wants to touch a capture point contested by Trahearne.

Seriously though… Something does need to happen with Blighter’s Boon. It doesn’t seem to really help with attrition all that much on bruiser builds…

BUT. CttB should definitely give un-cleansable chill for 15 minutes and double the time it takes to respawn (But only for non-Reapers. Other Reaper’s know how to handle the cold)

AND Rise!! should spawn Flesh Golems with all the minion traits integrated into the mobs themselves, and they take all the damage you take, but it only affects them 50%

Increase gs auto chain speed by 10% and increase lifeforce gain
Add evade into Gravedigger
Change Reaper’s might trait go give might per enemy hit
Death’s Charge should be evade
Soul Spiral should destroy projectiles
Infusing Terror should have reduced cooldown if Terrify is used
Stun from Executioner’s Scythe should cleave
Soul Eater trait should give quickness rather than life siphon
Blighter’s Boon trait should heal for every condition you deal rather than every boon you give yourself
Deathly Chill trait should allow chill to stack intensity
Chilling Nova trait should have cooldown for each enemy rather than shared
Relentless Pursuit trait should give superspeed on entering shroud
All shouts should be instant without channeling time

Let’s get crazy:

  • reaper can actually receive healing from allies while in shroud
  • spectral mastery makes your spectral skills evade for 2s (you become spectral = a ghost)
  • vital persistence is now baseline
  • signet of vampirism cast time reduced to 0.5s
  • corruption become powerful skill using LF as a source. For example: blood is power becomes an upkeep skill which gives the enemy a debuff causing him to receive 10% more damage and condi damage (including from allies) but you loose 3% LF/s. Epidemic uses the same principle: while on, all conditions received by your target are copied to nearby enemies. Corrupt boon corrupts all boons but consume 3% LF for each boon corrupted. Consume conditions consumes 10% LF (this one is tricky, since that means you cannot heal without LF…). etc…

If you didn’t realize, those are changes I actually wish for…

Change the auto attack chain so that it casts gs 2345 all at once but on a different timer, but not to go over board, it’s still a 3 chain attack on the same timer, but still cast 2345 on each of the 3 chain

Things that would make GS “even” better (I actually have this a my Fav weapon for PvP/WvW… wierd like that)

1. AA just decrease cast-time with 3/4s on each (this is needed badly)
2. Do a 2 Condi Transfer on GS#3
3. Change Nightfall to Blind and Slow instead of bind and cripple

thats all folks

I like 1
2 should of been 1s. evade. Why it isn’t is beyond me!?
3 well that will be way to powerful. Reflecting projectiles is a good idea, but blocking all melee hits its to much. Maybe 1-2s. of blocking.
4 is not going to happen, obviously.

GS 1 – speed up a bit or add chill to all hits
GS 2 – 1 sec evade while casting
GS 3 – range increase
GS 4 – fine as is
GS 5 – make the pull 100% reliable

These are legit requests by the way

GS 4 – fine as is
GS 5 – make the pull 100% reliable

These are legit requests by the way

  1. is ok now otherwise but 3rd hit is a bit slow so everyone gets out of range By then even without trying
  2. is ok now
  3. range is ok but cast time is a bit sluggish compared to usefulness, you can get vuln stacks without ever using this
  4. yeah ok
  5. pull should be reliable cone into direction you are facing, elevation seems to especially kitten this up.

but yeah what would be awesomely op..

- i really like that idea of rise giving flesh golems they could also have 2nd phase to knockback and unblockable of course

- nothing can save you would last long enough so you could land one hit with GS (compared to unblockable marks from minor trait this is would be so op)

Honestly, I think Reaper seriously should get an evade or projectile destruction element to either RS #2 or 4 to make them more viable in WvW groups and even pve.

Most classes have blocks/projectile defense/invulns on their skill or utilities and nec/reaper have none of these.

Necro’s can get by without, because theyre mostly fully ranged, but reaper by design needs to get in people’s face a lot to do their damage and they should have at least some way of avoiding damage to do so instead of just soaking it up IMO

guys, I know GS is a joke in competitive sPvP, but just curious if there’s a semi-viable build for casual PvX player (I played a bit of every game mode) that could work by switching some traits around? Would Staff/GS work?

Any build recommendation would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Rs #2 already destroys projectiles while you charge.

@Sigmoid oh dang practically main Reap now and I forgot it actually does! Lol thanks for reminding me.

I guess from a WvW perspective it still isn’t to par with block/invulns of other classes, but that is something at least.

And RS4 is high Poison + direct damage + whirl finisher that can be traited for 5k+ heals and teleports downed teammates. Give it Reflect and that skill will be loaded!

Agreed reflect would be too op to tag on to a RS skill, maybe an evade of some sort on #4? It seems to make 4 rotations so maybe a 1/2 evade every other spin would be cool, but that might make counterplay in PvP kind of difficult… though the CD on #4 seems long enough that you couldnt exactly spam it, more for survivability on pushes.

I’m not sure what build you would have to switch traits around in, but your typical Spite/Soul Reaping/Reaper build can work with Staff/GS. Staff is a utility weap, GS helps with some control (blind/pull/chill), you get some LF generation, and Gravedigger can be used to generally pressure someone. RS is most likely going to be your high-pressure state, but GS can work just fine in non-competitive environments.

So go for it.

i have an idea!! make it so when gravedigger is cast you are in a constant state of evade for the duration, also while evading it will glue you to your opponent so no matter what they do they cant get away from you, this is balanced because dodges are a thing and revenant can do it so why not?
