I’ve just started a new necro character. I do already have a level 80 but I wanted a second level 80 that I could experiment on.

I’ve been using a new build and one of the things I liked was that it uses Well of Suffering. I do use this on my current level 80 necro too.

But I’ve noticed that when using the Well of Suffering on my new necro, I press the skill key and it instantly does the aoe where I’m standing. On my high level necro I can move the target around and then click my mouse button and it’ll do the aoe where-ever I put it.

At first I thought I needed to change some setting in the options as I’ve heard there is one to select whether you want aoe to instantly act or delay until you manually target an area. But the wierd thing is, on my weapon skills I have 2 aoe’s there, and I can move the target around and put it where I want.

So have they changed the Well of Suffering to instantly act or is this a bug? Btw my girlfriend is also building her necro and we’re using the same build. The instant Well of Suffering acts like that too.

you probably aren’t traited for focus rituals that make your wells ground targetable.

You need trait to make it ground targetted, otherwise you will just drop it where you stand.

Trait it for now but when the new system comes into play necro’s are getting the focused ritual as a base ability

You can set the settings to 1 press AoEs you just hold the key to aim and release it to launch the spell no need to click or press the key twice. Or you could have it pop wherever your cursor is but I find this more annoying since mistakes are easier.

I didn’t know that it was trait based. Yea, it is a bit odd that its not included in the base skill. But I can also see why they have it as a trait and not standard.

End the scrubbery, fast-casting for everyone!

I like being able to cast my well on the spot :/ Not looking forward to that being changed.

When specs drop it will be cast at your feet. Kinda sucks if you’re trying to stay at range.
