Has this trait changed recently? I used to be able to put a well down in front and run thru for protection the same way spectral wall works. Now it seems the well has to be placed on myself/allies for the buff to be given ?

it %100 did for me, I had that trait for 6 months without change and only recently changed it and changed back so maybe sumthing to do with that ?…

Don’t you think about Spectral Wall?

Never worked that way. It has always been 3 seconds of protection on affected allies from initial pulse since at least Sept/Oct 2012.

I can’t remember this ever working like you say either, although I can’t say I put myself in that particular situation that often.

100% sure it has worked the way it is now for like.. ages. Maybe it was “a feature” in betas, I cannot recall for sure. A lot of skills used to work in stupid way (like many do even today) so you do not need to be in actual target area to get the benefit.
