Azman – Asura Necromancer, Kemena – Human Guardian
Emracool – Sylvari Elementalist, Lyra Lightbender – Sylvari Mesmer
I’m returning to this game after a several months long hiatus, continuing my mission of map completion on my necro. I currently run a power build focused on DS, because it seems to be the only one with trait choices that make sense, and it kills things far faster than conditions or minions. But it’s starting to get a bit repetitive, and so I’m willing to try out other builds that people find fun to do.
Keep in mind that I’m talking only about open world PvE / map completion. I don’t care at all about dungeons or anything like that. And I’m well aware that the open world PvE content is easy enough that I can kitten through it with any build, I’m just looking for something new and exciting to try out.
Personally, I play Conditions all the time. I feel like it suits the “flavor” of the class very well. It might also be worth mentioning I have multiple 80s, some being a power build, which is another reason why I keep the Necro conditions. But anyways…
Scepter / Dagger — Staff
6 – VI, X, XIII
6 – II, VII, XII

2 – III

Armor – Rabid
Runes – Krait
Weapons – Rabid
Sigils – Scepter & Dagger: Earth / Corruption
Staff: Chilling / Blood (probably not the best choice here though)
Skills: Consume Conditions, Blood is Power, and Epidemic are mandatory IMO. I use Signet of the Locust for the speed boost only. I typically run with Plague as my elite, as it works well with the Krait runes.
With my setup, you do a lot of kiting in circles, grouping mobs and AoEing them. I find it to be fun and I use the same setup for everything I do on my Necromancer. I fair well in the Fractles up through about 20, but I have not tried any higher (not into them that much). Also, in Dungeons, I fair pretty good there too. Just keep in mine that more than 1 person putting conditions is almost a waste.
