What is better ? reaper or Scourge
Scourge is better for condition damage based builds and reaper is better for power.
Reaper probably still for boon corruption due to axe/focus/gs/nothing can save you.
Soneone say that Scourge is better in 1v1 than Reaper, but in teamfight the Scourge is even more weak than the Reaper, totally lack of Stability and good CC.
The Scourge can inflict tons of damage but you literally throw away all your defences to do that.
Against a burst damage a scourge can survive more than a reaper, if you have enough LF to spam everything and active all your barriers, but if the enemy survive to your burst you’re dead.
Two really different gameplay.
I found easier fight a Scourge than a Reaper, but also there’s not experienced players or meta builds and some fixes can still make it better.
Also for that Weekend the Sand Swell (the portal) was blocked by ANet. Maybe there will be huge fix on it to make it work better on in a different way.
That reduced even more the survival abilities of the Scourge.
They’re both good for sPvP, you have only to test them both and see what’s the best playstyle for you.
Darkrye, the two elite lines have different applications and are will probably be adjusted before 9.22.
I would not compare them right now and maybe not ever. They will both likely have advantages in different situations.

gave us an actual GS trait, you think they will do more in 1-month with the focus being on new xpac?
I think reaper is now what it is, and like base necro will stay so for next 2 years.
We only get to give some feedback for fast 1-month tweaks to new stuff.

From what I’ve heard, there will be another balance either before PoF or on release day.
There is 1 of 2 terms that you can use when coming up with a build:
You can do this, because…
and
You can do this, but…
Power Scourge is the latter.
The big hit for me was you get no real benefit to any ‘while in shroud’ traits. Especially Death Perception.
I think in organized play, scourge should be better.
Reason: its stupid damage basically it can force a decap with cleave alone, every 16s + 60s
then its a freekill for another 16s

I’m waiting for the drop of scourge and also the update for full power necro. Right now reaper is like half power half condi. Right now I love my reaper but.. I did find a fun hybrid main power secondary condi scourge build that was fun.
