What to change about power necro for tpvp?
I weirdly, like a 30/10/0/0/30 with, Divinity Runes.
Why? Because no one expects it!
Stick behind the group for a little. Jump out for a short burst of tanky in your face pew pew. Go and hide again.
I also enjoy the odd few rounds a MM. Usually with condi & chillz lots setup. Unexpected. That one can even have a roll, slowing and chewing on the ball carrier in 1 pvp round!
If you have a staff, you can flip other necro’s condi’s back on them, and then pew pew them with your full power/minions power ontop. Making you a very good ‘default necro hunter’.
-No help with res or stomp. Your necro, don’t go near them or ya’ll just die.
-Role would be jester. Were a joke, but funny to watch.
-Short bursts of Attrition, giggles. (Go-To Condi Reactor spec, out plays any other I’ve seen/heard of)
I love that 30/10/0/0/30 spec too, it’s just too easy for people who know what they’re doing to abuse you.
Power Necro’s problem in tPvP has always been the same. No disengage available and Hard Focus = Death.
It can be fun to play, and frankly I think playing tons of power necro improved my gameplay more than any other build that I have played because it is so positioning sensitive. Super rewarding on a personal level to jump into a tourney and drop 20+ kills in a single match though. I did most of my power necro play well before the 6/25 Doomsday patch with variant’s of Khalifa’s build, and while a lot has changed the problem with running a power based necro really hasn’t gotten any attention.
That’s what I find, if the other team pulls a hard switch on you, game over. Almost every other class has an ‘oh kitten’ button or an effective escape to shut down a spike, as power you just have to stand there and take it, and that pressure shuts down almost all of your damage as DS drains so quickly.
