What utilities do you bring to WvW?
Well of Suffering, Spectral Wall, Spectral Walk. Plague for Zergplay.
In zerg I use Well of Suffering, Well of Corruption (very useful to corrupt stability, protection, might) and Spectral Walk
Question, roaming or zerging?
Spectral walk hands down best WvW skill.
In ZvZ, Well of Corruption & Well of Suffering are must have’s. 3rd is usually Spectral Wall, unless I want to troll & pin snipe, then I’d load Corrupt Boons. Spectral Wall because it grants protection, has unlimited target for its duration, and can strip stab. Plus the combo field is nice if your guild raid utilizes it. When you have a handful of necros laying spectral walls down properly, you could strip the enemy frontline of their stab completely when they leap in.
If you’re talking about solo roaming WvW, I usually go either with a signet build or spectral. Wells are quite useless in solo roaming.
Question, roaming or zerging?
Mainly focused on group play tbh, preferably versatile enough to switch between big zergs or small groups fairly easily. My problem is that there seem to be too many fun possibilities, my mind being currently full of ideas with very little structure, so I was curious if there was any specific utilities that were considered essential that would help narrow the possibilities down.

Large group play and zerging, the class provides wells for strong AE burst.
Small scale group play the Necro is the one that comes pre-shot in the leg so your group can escape while you’re eaten by the ravenous horde.

Blink, decoy, veil, and mass invis for roaming.
