I been thinking playing Necro again, and was started to wonder…if i ever get there..which Legendary would i pick at all?

I mostly use staff, even if i hate those idiotic rune mines. It offers the best support with the constant regen. And i do want to play support.
But The Bifrost barely resambles some Necromancer weapon. That look is not for me for sure.

Then i was wonderign abaut dagger, but the same goes for the dagger. Its ok for a Thief or more likely an Ele…but not for a Nekro.

Focus? hmm now thats not bad, trough again not really a Necro ish look, but the main problem is : I dont really use focus.

Frostfang now is something i could imagine for a Necro, trough i hate axes, and i seriously dont use them on my Necro if possible. I dont find the skillist or the weapon fitting for a Necro at all-_-

Scepter is something i usually use, but Meteorlogicus is also not really a Necro ish weapon. Its again more likely for an Ele, or even Mesmer. Maybe even fiting for a Ga, but not for a Necro for sure.

So after thinking things over…i am not even sure i should come back to my Necro. It feels like : devs didnt bother so moch, there isnt even really a decent legendary for it.

Any opinions or thouts on this?

Same here ..on researching for necro’s to see how to level it and what will i use on upper levels Necros dont seem to fall into any thing for legendary wepons ..staff maybe for range spells but none of the others kind of fit ..I’m beginning to think that necros will benefit more from food/sigils/ and the other ones ..you know everything except what is in your hand …

I’m a necro in the same situation, and, for now, I’m not bothering with getting a legendary weapon for him. Anet is, supposedly, working on new legendaries, so I’m hoping that at least one of them will look like something a necro will use.

If you REALLY want a legendary for your necro, there are 2 options: Kraitkin (trident) and Kamohoali’i Kotaki (spear, that’s the exact spelling). They both look necro-ish enough to use them, but they’re underwater weapons. Unless you love underwater combat or think you’ll visit underwater areas a lot (like wherever the speculated water dragon will live), don’t bother.

i think u can make bifrost look good on a necro. Go for an icey looking necro with white dyes and equip wraith eyes. but yea frostfang would look best overall.

I like my horn and dagger, but then I didn’t really try going for a very necro-ish look.

The Eye of Rodgort [&AgFQeQAA] is a great necro themed scepter. It’s not a legendary but it should be.

OMG IM NOT ALONE, i also have all the mats to make either bifrost or frostfang and almost all mats for 4th one after that, im just about to deploy for 6months so ill wait till i get back to see what im making.

How about Final Rest staff? It may not be a legendary weapon but it is a legend.

I would still farm all the mats and just sit on them until they create new legendary weapons then get the prerequisite. I find it unfair how the GS gets 2 versions and then a version that mixes them together however the rest of the other don’t.

I certainly am capable of gathering all the guff necessary to create one – without even trying I believe I have enough karma/relics for example and I would like one simply to show my dedication to the game.
However, Necromancer is my first and favourite thus it’s the one I would want a legendary for but either I dislike how a legendary looks, it’s unfitting, or I simply don’t use that weapon (sceptre/horn and staff conditionmancer).

Often the Eye of Rodgort is suggested but I’m not quite comfortable with the idea of swinging a bulging, bloodshot eye around my head, call me crazy.
I have also tried to obtain Final Rest but I’m unwilling to expend effort on what may only be a myth, especially considering the circumstances under which it is hypothesized you obtain said staff – the event chain is in an obscure location, next to no one there, three champions and a legendary to kill and on top of this it’s likely only a rare loot from the chest.
I ran it solo thrice then decided I have better things to do.

I suggest waiting for a release of new legendary weapons first, instead of working towards one of the current legendaries you’re not entirely fond of.

I am going for the dagger. I love dagger on necro, best weapon IMO. Aswell as its probably the one that has the best “necro look”

Of the current legendaries, only Kraitkin ‘fits’ the necro imo. Plus, of the trident users, kraitkin is the best suited to the necro imo. I guess maybe Frostfang too (I personally don’t feel that weapon suits either warrior, ranger or necro haha).

I run in axe+horn and staff power build for wvw, i have Howler and about to finish Frostfang. Frostfang has very nice animation in necro hands ,

1. skill: you have frosty trail instead black and frosty splash on target
2. skill: many splashes on same target
3. skill: massive frosty splashes on different targets

1. skill in shroud: you shoot frosty bolts with white trail

in addition, corrupted focus looks very decent with Frostfang, its focus in shape of dragon head with icy breath

for condition build i use full arah set with blood/abyss/midnight fire dyes and Eye of Rodgort [&AgFQeQAA] + Malefacterym [&AgEmZgAA] and Pact Staff
