Guild Wars 2

My necromancer generally uses a staff and focuses mainly on minions. I am lvl 46 and my first 2 specializations are death magic and blood magic. Now after getting my second one I was looking ahead to the third and cant really find one I like. Which one do you guys think would be good?

oh and I don’t have heart of thorns so no need to mention the elite spec

Spite, has the best overall synergy with minions (though Soul Reaping works for PvP just as well if not better, Spite is better for PvE).

I would recommend Soul Reaping. It focuses on Death Shroud and LF which is great for survivability but it also allows you to do crazy damage. The grandmaster trait Death Perception increases your crit chance my 50%! With the right gear, you can get 100% crit chance while in Shroud.

Personally this trait line is a must in any build I make, including my reaper build for PvP and PvE.

I agree with littlehorn, Soul Reaping. Going to focus on Condition damage? You’ll want dumbfire for sure. Power build? Death Perception. I also really like the vital persistence trait…. and all 3 of the mandatory traits. Its just a really versatile trait line that offers survivability through shroud as well as damage through shroud and works equally great for power or conditions
