I have been playing Necromancer since launch and I’ve tried all sorts of different combinations. So far I have developed a pvp build and a pve build, but I haven’t focused too much on a wvw build. Which is strange since I mainly do wvw. A couple days ago some guy gave me this idea for a move combo. If you use signet of spite, then blood is power, and finish it with epidemic……you have at least 7 conditions on every player of the enemy zerg. Of course you need a condition build to do this and it doesn’t work too well outside of wvw, but so far it has worked great for me.

It’s really one of the basic moves for conditionmancer.

a large quantity of conditions isn’t magically good, signet of spite puts single stacks, all short duration, so putting a few seconds of weakness, 1 stack of vuln etc on 5 people isn’t that amazing. Mass epidemic’ing a few blood is power’s is another matter entirely.

spite siggy> bip > epi is a gimmick condition move and it only useful if you’re mega-amping the damage output given from curses25 minor.

at lv80, the passive power from spite sig is actually pretty good if you don’t need a 3rd util, like if you’re facing a tank and spank boss.

Thanks guys, maybe I was a little too quick to judge. I have only been doing this for a couple of days and I guess it’s just the concept that seems great, but when you get to the numbers it doesn’t add up.

Good thing is to run with a group on comms, you’ll be able to use Epidemic at its finest, like starting to cast it just a second before your ally necro casting fear(as I understood, you CAN spread it with Epidemic). And Necro + Mesmer duo works wonders aswell, it’s so satisfying to see 10+ enemies with 5+ stacks of COnfusion you’ve just spread amongst them

Yeah the conditions are too short on the signet. It’s more of a psychological trick to maybe scare people into backing off if the front of a zerg see a bunch of conditions on them, but really doesn’t do a lot. Maybe if you had duration up to 200% it could pack more of a punch. The cooldown on spite is also ridiculously long.

Better move can often be corrupt boon then epidemic for the builds that really stack them up.

Stack the longest possible chill you can then epidemic for real hilarity.

If you’re not playing to win, don’t complain when you lose.

Advantage of Scepter/Focus Necros, Been playing with this and a Sigil of Ice instead of Earth.

I do my normal combo, Spinal Shivers and then epidemic for hilarity.

This is genius….so is the fear thing. I’m still using the epidemic combo(in wvw) I mentioned earlier, but this seems like the ultimate troll and I’ll have to try it!
