Why I feel conditions are worthless in PVP
There are a few dozen videos out there that say otherwise good sir.
Cyrix Casden – engineer
GSCH – Sanctum of Rall
I am not interested in other videos as I have had my own experiences.
In tPVP, just about every class will remove the conditions that you worked a good 5-10 seconds to begin to add to your target. Once they remove your conditions, you are now at half health and falling fast, but they have eaten your conditions and are still packing damage on to you…
This class is sub par at even stacking bleeds.
In order to stack bleeds, one must also hit every skill shot… miss one or have one evaded just leaves a decent cd where you are being trashed by other classes and btw, they have already removed your bleeds.

Has a lot of ways to stack bleeds, it might be what you’re interested in. Just trying to help

I have the same experience especially against guardians, engineers and somehow rangers I believe.
100% World completion.
Nova, please… I didn’t ask for a video pimp.
I’m expressing simply that Conditions are far, far too easy to be removed by pretty much any one with some sense.
I originally thought I read you asked for videos, I’m sorry. But it’s still a guide for a build that stacks conditions, the video wasn’t the main purpose of the link.
Conditions do get removed, but it’s so easy to stack them back up again with this set up. Assuming you’re constantly switching weapons, dodging after the ICD. Same with Death Shroud.
Every single class seems to have a way to remove the most important condition for a Necro – bleeds.
This is extra apparent on Engineers who are practically immune to conditions.
What gives?
Wise man speaking.
So, wasting your dodges to try to stack a bleed on a target, which is futile since they will be removed, is a good strat?
I am sorry, I’ve been gaming for a long time and I know a broken class when I find one.
It sounds like you don’t want to try other options. There’s problems with the class, there’s no denying it; however, there are builds that work, and this class has a higher skill cap to play well than others because its broken.
No, sir… this class is not good at anything.
In fact, all aspects of this class are trumped by other classes.
It is the truth, a lot of people realize it and are jumping ship.
There will always be a few people who will say, “It will get better,” or, “Everything is fine l2p.”
I agree that fighting an Engineer is more or less the most annoying thing to come across, give or take some other heavy condi moving Professions.
I don’t think I want to go as far and say it’s completely useless, though.
Edit in response to your new post:
It is a lot more difficult to apply bleeds, yes. I get your point.
Apparently the word quickly gets kittened.
Go into tPVP. Necro is not viable. End of story.
Ah.
I wish you luck, I suppose, and hopefully you find something you enjoy playing.
Oh boi u so nice… comes off as condescending tho…
I forgot to mention that even if your bleeds are successful at taking someone down, when they go down guess what? Free cure of all conditions on them… then it’s back to stacking and no hope of spreading your conditions from a downed opponent…
Leaves the enemy team free to res their ally while u have to stack more bleeds only for them to be removed yet again.
I was genuinely saying that. It’s frustrating not being able to play the classes you want to play. I find different ways ways to enjoy Necromancer, but it’s not for everyone obviously. Not trying to be condescending… sorry if you take it that way.
An early epidemic is always better than a late one, but if you’re by yourself against 2+ players, you’re probably going to get kittened. Necro plays best with others, but it’s not like it’s easy finding an organized team to help you out.
Correction: Necro is not for ANYONE who wants to be competitive.
Well I know others who would disagree, but there’s nothing to be done since you’ve got your mind made up.
You could always play Spamseeker? Lol, jokes aside.
Wow… dem forum mods… gg… well uhh INFRACTED.
I take back all of my opinions and I now keep them to myself. w.e
Please delete this thread since you, forum mod, have already deleted all of my posts in it.
I’ve been getting bored of playing Mesmer lately and have been using Necro in tPvP instead. Been having a lot of fun and success with a condition/support build. Certain parts of Necro are broken for sure, but I wouldn’t even go close to saying it’s not viable.
I really don’t get why people are saying necro isn’t a viable pvp prof.
I’ve been playing a power necro for 3 days now and I absolutely love it. I drop people so fast with dual wells, full dmg/crit and the flesh golem. I actually won a 1v3 today. (opponents were really bad tho, but still..) I do think this class is a bit worse overall than others but it’s really not that big of a difference. I only wish they would give us a bit more overall dmg and some stunbreakers w/o insane CD’s.
The big problem is necros only have one damaging condition. Give necros burning too and it would be very different 1v1.
