Why are Necro Fears so Short?
No it can’t.
Jon Peters said necro is already very scary, but people can’t play him yet.
We have to live with it and deal with ‘Fear Me!’ warriors.
Is the conditions Necromancer as scary as a Warrior who Bull Rushes and then Frenzy – Rage – Hundred Blades – Weapon Swap – Eviscerate?
Hell, the Warrior could even forgo any survival utility and add in a Fear Me!
It’s bad enough they included fear in the game at all. Get them to nerf the other classes, cause it sure as heck doesn’t need to be buffed. I’d rather it was removed and replaced with another condition entirely imo.

Well the 1 second duration is really lame and should be uped to 2 seconds.
But can the Warrior use his fear when stunned or knockdowned? Because I can with Doom and I do it all the time, it’s extremely usefull.

It’s a shout, which is an instant cast, so yeah, they can.

Any thing you can do a warrior can and does to better.
According to Jon Peters, nobody, even myself with 236 hours played as a necromancer, can play this class properly or hasn’t played it properly yet.
Next thing you know he’ll be telling us what is fun, instead of ourselves deciding what fun should be; if you catch my drift.

I don’t think it can be removed at this point, but I agree that it needs to be nerfed for other professions. Even at 1s Fear is incredibly powerful, as it interrupts any and all actions, removes movement control from you (often forcing you into AoE effects or environmental hazards), and exposes you to positional damage bonuses from your attacker (you always show your back to whoever feared you).
I think the DS fear should be longer… staff is AoE so 1 sec is fine for me.
DS fear could use a buff… Its on a 20 sec cd.. so it could be 2 sec fear i think.
What i really dislike is the thief 3 sec fear

It’s ridiculous that a thief’s steal mechanics which is supposed to give you a weaker ability of the class you stole from gets a 3 sec fear while necro’s who are supposed to be masters of the fear condition only get 1 sec. Oh, the irony.
