The meta chooses carrion over rabid; I don’t get it. You stack better bleeds with rabid, @ 49% crit chance you can proc sigil of earth and barbed precision much more often. What’s the reasoning behind cariion?

Curses gives you enough crit and the power is really nice (you can still pressure in DS with the auto).
And with the 4 points in deathmagic you have more EHP in carrion then in rabid and of course vitality is better against conditions.

I’m inclined to think condi necro’s have decent removal with dagger#4 and staff#4, so direct damage mitigation is more significant to me. And more crit=more bleed procs, I find myself stacking 6-8 stacks of bleeds just with Scepter#2 and dagger#5, from then it’s the DS 2,3,5 combo and AA spam till they cleanse or drop. Can’t argue with pressure in DS using LB. It’s Damage is pathetic on rabid and I just cast DS 2,3,5 then leave DS (kind of a waste of LF and drop in survivability?) to spam Scepter AA if i used my CD’s already. Not gonna argue the meta or anything, just my personal preference

The defensive stats between the two amulets are negligible. Carrion provides better offense for Terrormancer which is a burst build. Putrid mark, life blast, life transfer, and FoC do much more damage with C.

Most terrormancer’s don’t run sigil of earth. Energy is a must because of our lack of vigor and defense. Sigil of geomancy is better then earth. I have seen players use sigil of torment and frailty over earth just for cover conditions.
