Do the cast times for minions and Shroud #1 decrease so much? I would loooove if minions and Life Blast had only half a second cast time, especially in PvP

They really should. Maybe you could actually use flesh wurm as a blink to get around faster then, and suddenly Dhuumfire would be somewhat decent with the faster life blast.

It’s actually worse (or better) than that. According to my spreadsheet (assuming I’ve made no mistakes) under conditions of:

25 Might/Vun
Full ascended Zerk with Scholar
Staff with force/night
Bowl of Sweet and Spicy Butternut Squash Soup/ 10% Slaying potion
Build/Rotationhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QBuwFe2Aaxk&list=PLrzL2tyd59u75U4pSkFynbCx8-5Rj3QnK with thanks to Brazil
No other party buffs

Our average DPS would increase to ~17k over 30 seconds (meaning we’d tie with Engi).
If they decreased the cast time to 1 second we’d have around ~15k average DPS.

Of course this would only help DS builds, dagger would still be on the low side (see video for numbers).

Reducing DS 1’s cast time would make it too powerful, though halving its attack speed and damage so it ends up being the same DPS would be fine.

I want the initial cast of ds1 upon entry into ds to be faster. Can’t time anything with how it is now. Right now my biggest complaint with our skills are our cast times. I want to kick off my rotations to match the pace of combat but I simple can’t because I end up cancelling my casts sometimes to keep up. I either dodge out of the slow kitten cast time even though I have given myself time to get the skill off, or I slam into ds to fast and cancel a mark, etc. This is the most disruptive part of play for me right now. I get they want us to be slow mobility wise and for defense to depend on ds and to some degree our offense, but for the love of God and all that is holy speed up some of our kittening skills. I have great reaction time but kitten , I’m cancelling myself waiting for casts to go off, whereas the alternative is eat damage in the face to get a skill off?

Our trade off is just to biased towards the negative/hampering effect. I’m tired of being an interrupt magnet too. I like our overall slow bad kitten moving caster etc, but give us some of the bad kitten back and speed up our casts. Why do we have to. Be so kittening slow at casting/using skills. Those should be faster. Esp because I can’t disengage once I’ve engage.

Anyone else agree they could drop some of the time it takes to casts marks, and a lot of our weapon skills? In addition ds 1 is fine for attack speed in general but why the windup up entry into ds. We should get to fire on off immediately. Would really help us out
