Protect us… Holy Song!
Why is your Necromancer fun?
Protect us… Holy Song!
The survivability is good and the AOE is awesome ;D Wellllllsssss….!
All of the above. Also, the control. Control Control Control.
The sheer variety of builds that we can use, without feeling completely kitten I also love Death Shroud, and the amount of conditions we have access to.
Though I am not as in love with conditions as Bhawb is heh… I love both of my 80 necromancers. Yes, I loved one so much I had to make another! I prefer power builds personally, but, as was stated, the sheer variety of builds is just awesome!!
So far this is the only class I’ve played in spvp that can laugh at guardians. Especially when they pop that shout that gives them a billion boons, and I do corrupt boon and turn those into a billion conditions and their entire health drops in like two seconds.
Epidemic is BEAST MODE, beside all of the above lol.
I love challenge. Necro is definitely the most challenging class in GW2. Hardest to put a build together too.

playing the underdog is fun to me. I also love condition damage.
like that other guy said. epidemic is awesome.
“A bad player behind most classes is a bad player” and “A bad player behind a necro is useless”,
“A good player behind most classes is a good player” and “A good player behind a necro is mediocre”,
“A great player behind most classes is a great player” and “A great player behind a necro… is godlike”,
The learning curve is high, really high,
I admit we got some serious issues, our trait tree is a example,
Anyway the necro is in a good place right now,
The play stile is reactive, that means you are always acting acording your oponent,
This play stile is always, in any game and any place the hardest to master, because you don’t have a plan, you don’t have a combo, you don’t have the iniciative, you need to think fast and react even faster,
Plus this play stile, in any game is the less popular, because you need to use your brain instead hitting like a maniac your keyboard, (some people even say there’s a class you can play with a mouse and one key, the number “2”),

honestly i always found this profession to have the lowest learning curve. The engineer hell..even the mesmer/elementalist despite being amazing to fully master have far more complex systems than death shroud.
I like the access to a lot of debilitating conditions ..the life steal on certain abilities and the pets. and just look neat.
Also its pretty fun and easy to get into like the gaurdian and the warrior. Funnest ability is spectral walk imo and 25% movement on a signet is handy.

Those would be greatsword using warriors, and d/d thieves spamming their ’2’s like it’s going out of style. Those players are also extreme bads. =)
isn’t that fun because I find that i can’t really move all that well as a necro

And a fat kid in a basement bragging is still a fat kid in a basement and necro has nothing to with it. <3

Bads by whose definition? Yours? And what exactly makes you the authority on the subject? Maybe they like it that way… maybe they physically are not capable of doing more then that due to what ever reason. The kitten is really strong in this topic.
I love my flexibility. Even though I mainly run a hybrid I can still tip it in one direction or another as needed and not feel like I’m gimping myself or having to jump to through too many hoops to adapt. Nothing irks me more on a class than being stagnant and clunky. I also love that just about any version of necro builds can also very easily swap to support roles as needed. Not many classes can boast that. Necro is just a balled up package of awesomeness and has some of the coolest class effects to boot. Heck, thanks to Bas and Bhawb, I’ve even started to love my little rotten pets again.
~Surrender fiend and you will get an easy death
~I could promise you the same…but it would be a lie…
I came back to the necro after becoming a bit bored with my thief and reading some intriguing posts from Lopez. After fooling around in PVE with conditions, I moved to MM and have not looked back since. MM is the most fun I have had in this game. Watching my 6 minions lay waste to some poor mob while I stand back laying on conditions and CC is good times. The only issue is that the spec is very susceptible to AE and is weak when minions are down. Having control over minions (offensive vs. defensive stance, follow) would compensate for this to some degree.
I enjoy playing OP classes that people think suck.

You can wear full magic find gear with a minion build. They don’t scale wit equip at all so you don’t loose any of your damage. Just dodge around an loot.

I love people underestimating me and handing them their kittens back.
Also, the last one to die in dungeons is awesome.
Epidemic is Awesome!
The “Oh, you’re tickling me,” feeling I get when a thief or a warrior bursts me.
The Black/Green effects.
Awesome DPS: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/professions/necromancer/Witness-my-power-build with still a built in survivabability.
