Why nerf corrupt boons?
I think they wanted it to be some kind of poor thought trade-off for July necromancer changes. You know, so much stuff buffed, changed or fixed, so many so called “buffs” (because the longer text wall is, the better buffs described class gets) that they had to place some “nerfs”.
I think it was totally unecessary. Back in the days, good Corrupt Boon could quickly turn the tide of the fight and was a very hard punishment to all those Thieves, Mesmers and Warriors using Runes of Lyssa. It’s never been brainless, because it is a projectile, vunerable to all types of whack stuff like obscured etc.
Now you’re just happily popping your boon spam and lyssa runes in every situation. In past, it had some counterplay.
Sure, you can convert 5 boons, but with boonspam it won’t include most precious ones like Stability. I feel that it’s a stupid change and should be reverted. Take Dumbfire in current state, but give me back CB and 3% without ICD LF on Spectral Walk ;/

its simple it could make future warrior possibly killable in 1vs1 ..thats why they nerf it 2 times already .. 1st time less boon converting, second nerfing condtions itself
they had to nail that nothing kills their warrior unless he is overwhelmed by 100 to 1
It was way too strong. Being able to not only remove everything someone has, but also turn that into conditions was insane. If you just waited for Lyssa, you’d apply burning, blind, weakness, 3x vulnerability, poison, 3x confusion, fear, cripple, and bleeding: basically giving you a free kill.
It is still strong, the only big issue is the way that boons are chosen.
Necros have many ways to strip and convert/strip boons. The thing is conditions on necro are so easily reapplied since they have them on nearly every weapon skill, and it’s part of their built in mechanic. Corrupt Boon would pretty much turn Guardian’s “Save Yourselves!” into “Kill Yourself” before. CB was a basic I win button against guards, because instead of getting buffed you get severely punished for it, opposed to Contemplation of Purity, which just turns all those conditions into a buff. Guards as far as condition removal, have to trait and rune for it, if they want to survive. Another thing to add is CB used to be blockable before, now it’s unblockable, so your only options are to try to dodge a hard to read attack or hope for a well timed blind.

Say that to Axe, Focus, Dagger(MH) and Warhorn what do you get with them weapons? Vul, Chill, Cripple The problem is that Staff and Scepter just have to much it means everything else has to be nerfed down assuming that every necro runs Condition builds.

I can really feel the power of CB now, thank you, I really do.
But if converting Boons into Condi is so powerful, how about converting ALL condi into boons, for example in a 1v1 ,I applied something like 8 to 9 bleed, a poison , a burning, a blind, and even good enough to put a signet of spite on the guard within 10 seconds ( considering I’m not the only one attacking, and the guard have a brain, and he is not standing on the ground not using his defensive skills ) , now he presses one button and . . . . . . ( if I have brought my CB i might have some chance, if not ?
)
Ok, now think about it if it is not a guardian, but a hammer warrior with berserker stance . . . . . . “condi immune” means " hey, condimancer , have you died 20 times today? no? alright then you come to the right place now spend a few silver and go back to your waypoint "

Axe has Vuln stacking and a 1 boon rip with a cripple on 3. It’s mostly for power builds and Life Force Death Shroud builds/power builds.
Focus has Spinal Shivers, boon rip(3 boons) with Chill, the 4 is used to generate Death Shroud and inflict a great amount of Vulnerablity (1v1 up to 12 stacks of Vuln). THat’s also used for power build and anti boon builds.
Dagger….DPS, melee, with Lifesteal (2), Dark pact (Immoblize), fast auto attacks. offhand dagger condi transfer, blinds, and Enfeebling shroud(Bleeds and Weakness)
Warhorn is control, and gives soft CC with locust swarm, Wail of Doom for interrupts via Daze.
Point is, now Necros will always have conditions, since it’s built in. it’s their mechanic, Death Shroud also provides this regardless of your spec.

When you bring Signet of Spite and a Corrupt Boon into the same bar, that’s the kitten bag way of trolling a guardian. If he contemplation of Purity’s your Signet of spite, and you corrupt boon him, he’s going to have a really hard time recovering from that, since he’s blown a mass condition cover. Guardians already have a low health pool as it is, if they get swarmed with conditions, and lots of cover conditions, they go down pretty fast, you just have to kite them which should be easy, will all the access to soft CC necro has. If you’re a Dhummfire Terromancer in WvW Guards shouldn’t really give you a problem unless they’re really good.
As for Warriors, they’re pretty hard, if you can survive the first 8-10 seconds of Zerker Stance. Then you’ll have a fighting chance. Just be sure to have access to Stunbreaks. The rest on the battle is dependent on the hammer warrior and your plays to outplay him.

That is true and with that it means our utilities can’t be made any stronger otherwise the balance will tip again, I do think this was an unneeded nerf though.
Will give the best try on warriors, thank you
fighting wariors especially if they have healing signet its pointless as they will remove all conditions in no time stun you to hell you have 1at most 2 stun breakers he has 4-5 stuns .. if he is getting asskicked he just run away ..pasive healing outheal your dmg .. and you are busy enough not get hammer**** not event doing any dmg ..
you need 2-3 ppl to stop warrior not even take him down ..and im talking about average players not about good ones ..
btw if you are based on ds and you get cc and hit by 100b say goodbye to your ds as he will rip all of it from you
