Can anyone suggest a good Partner. I was thinking a spirit ranger but after playing a little bit spirits seem kind of weak. We are pretty much just going to be playing pve.

I like necro & guardian / ele. They can give a necro what he lacks. Boons & stability.

Engineer, and have your wife use Epidemic.

Not really.
Drop bone minions for epidemic and run a condi engineer. massively ups the damage and control a duo can put out.

Noone should need a boon support class in PvE.

Venom Share Thief, Spirit Ranger (they are decently strong), Aura Share Ele, Support Guardian, Banner Warrior.

Basically, anything that has AoE buffs works nicely with minions, since even in a group of 2 you will be getting a lot out of it.

Also, its not about needing a boon support class, its about them having fun.

True, OP should of stated if they wanted a fun duo build, or a srs bsns build as that’s all i specialize in

Sorry. Yeah my wife is not a hardcore player at all. Thats why im looking for a class that can help protect her and keep her alive. I’m a pretty decent player and i’m comfortable jumping on any class.

If that is what you are looking for, then yes, basically any AoE support class will not only keep her alive, but significantly buff the minions, as they can take any buff that I know of (I haven’t tried banners, but the rest work: spirits, venom, aura, boons, etc.).

Didnt think about spirits buffing minions. That might be fun.

Hammer AH guardian might be a good one. Protection symbol directly under the enemy all her minions are crowding around to help keep them alive. Or the other route is take Mace if she doesn’t want to use a staff. Between AH, minions, and either shouts or 5 points in Virtues you should have a hard time dying. As long as you’re keeping the minions alive and she has 20 Death/20 Blood for toughness and siphoning from minions she shouldn’t be dying either.
