Will we ever see utilities in Shroud or nah?
I would actually give up seeing utilities if signet passives would just work. The utility visibility is just a UI visual, signets not working in shroud breaks a whole build for 50% of your play time….

Kinda have to agree with this. Just having signets work in shroud would be enough for me. Maybe I’m just setting the bar low since to me it feels like Necromancers have been kept down for so long.
I can see them letting us see them in less then 3 years but that’s just me being optimistic. It would be a praised and huge QoL.

Its 2% LF every three seconds (roughly 300 DS hp if not wearing any vitality gear at level 80). DS degenerates faster than that, even with Vital Persistence active. Its like a worse regeneration boon but for LF only. Anyone that would complain about this would be doing so just for the sake of complaining. No one takes Signet of Undeath for the LF generation.

No one takes it period lol. I don’t see usage coming yet because they balance without it for now so it could take a while to test and release I doubt they have free time for now. I still think seeing them should have been here already.

Yeah the thought just popped in my head that people may hate it. I agree with you though.

I rather not take the risk because then they have to make sure they fit for all specs,nerf some things,add some for reaper shroud and possible future shrouds.

Getting another 5 skills would be a pretty massive power creep that we don’t need.
Signet passives working under DS/RS would be a very welcome change.
in every playstyle imaginable,
they’ll call it a day and release HoT.
If they decide to handle Shroud like a weapon, not a form, it shouldnt be hard to implement.

Just the ability to see cooldowns on skill 6-10 would save me a lot of deaths. Don’t need to use them, but I hate popping out of shroud 5 seconds before consume condition is ready.
I’ve been fighting for this for a while. Allot of build opportunity and possible traits could make us absolutely amazing and fun to play. if we got to use them. This could mean we could manage our minions, drop our wells, condition spread with epidemic without having to drop out of DS. But I think the biggest thing is the stunbreak.

Im really hoping for a specialization that adds a 6-10 set of skills that functions like Herald with with Life Force delpetion. Huge spikes in usefulness for faster depletion sounds like a good upkeep to me.

Utility in death shroud should just be base on the necromancer.

Nope, but the signets should indeed work in shroud.
I would have loved to see “your equipped shouts now work in RS” as a GM trait for reaper. Would have been so much more interesting then 15% AS. All utilities might be op but having traits like this that focus on one skilltype would make RS&DS more interesting.

Nah, i don’t think that is the philosophy, also they wouldn’t be able to implement shrouds with extra skills in future specialisations!

What philosophy are you talking about? Making death shroud the most non inclusive and backwards class mechanic? Eles can swap attunements during their casting without interupting the skill. I can even swap the type of effect of a glyph mid casting.

Hmm, you know I hadn’t even considered that.
Seems interesting but they need rework all skills to fit with shroud mechanic then.
Healing skill while in shroud regen life force instead HP, same with locust signet but then balance would be broke for many reasons.

Problem with that is Vampire Signet together with Reaper now and the Life Force Regen together and Blighter’s boon. It would look like “Oh kitten I’m at 100 hp go into Reaper” Attacks. Back at 100% hp. Continue to attack and stuff. “OH kitten I’m at 100hp go into reaper” rinse and repeat. Wait until people QQ at forums for Reaper being unbeatable or WAY too tanky in 1v1. Boom Reaper/Necro is nerfed to hell to make sure that Necro says underwhelming. They did it to Terror, Dhumnfire, consume conditions, Chilling Blindness and all other good things necro ever gets.
