Yesterday, my default Vampiric hit went from 25 to… (drum rolls) 26!!!
Amazed by this boost, I’ve tried Bloodthirst to see how it interact with the new value.
Flabbergasted by the result: 38 before, 40 now.
So 2 days ago, 25×1,5=38, now, 26×1,5=40.
Now, I’m trying to find why those numbers have changed. The only thing I’ve changed with my setup is a switch from a Knight’s exotic staff to an Soldier’s Rare Axe and Soldier’s Rare Warhorn.
No +healing from gear, and a 30/0/20/20 build with full soldier’s exotic.
A stealth buff or it stacks with power/damage done?
Anyone one saw that change too?

I’ve noticed this too and was thinking about making a post about it, it’s been happening for a while. Some days my normal attacks will siphon for 38, sometimes for 40. I haven’t been able to pin down a specific cause, it could be from allied power buffs (I know warriors have one) or it could depend on your weapons or stats. I haven’t taken the time to test it out, though, so I’m as in the dark as you are.

I noticed it happening long before the WvW bonuses were fixed.
Power is the primary attribute of your new weapons (Soldier) but your secondary stat of your old weapons (Knights).
Therefore, you increased your power. Due to “Death into Life”, you’ve also increased your Healing Power.
Vampiric is supposed to not be affected by healing power, put perhaps something due to how these traits mesh has caused this healing to increase.
Hum that may be the case.
However, I’m normally using my exotic dagger, staff was my secondary weapon.
I guess I’m gonna test if it’s the WvW bonus now applying (got a 6% more healing on my server), gather even more power to see if Death into life helps it, or test a full healing set to see if now we gather a bit more from it.

the weapon change should result in barely a point increase in healing power (depending on rounding direction), but a 30 point increase in power.

You have 20 in the blood tree so you have 200 bonus healing just from that…. The damage isn’t affected by anything but the healing portion of it is affected by a very very tiny bit of healing…. I noticed the small change in numbers since the patch the other day so I’m guessing they fixed a rounding issue.
Yup already had 20 in Blood before too, just said no +healing from gear. That was why I was asking if anybody saw that change too and if it was a slight stealth buff (hey everything count! ).
I’ve made some tests today and it must really just be the patch. I thought it could scale off something now and was desperately searching what could make that number go up, but nothing is moving it now.

does anyone know what exactly that tiny bit of scaling is? or is it just rumours?
tried it right now in the mists with clerics amulett and without.
no changes and there are still tiny “25/37” numbers falling out of the training golems there (while i am healed by 25/38 per hit), no matter how high my healing is.
