Hey all,

Just wanted to post a quick video of me playing a support necro for my guild [Apex] on blackgate. Figured I’d post it for anyone who wanted to see the other side of necro. Not optimally geared for it but it isnt bad either.

Ah Support Necros!!! This has to be the first MMo I have played where I could not fulfill my role of healing…. All my other games I healed wow was a resto druid/holy pally/resto shaman and in tera mystic aion cleric and so on..

But anyway I main a necro and even though I enjoy my power build I have I loved the support we have. Not many know but necros offer a lot of decent support maybe not with heals but with condi to boon and such plus with our aoe blinds..

I noticed some things you had with that build that I found unique but it seemed to work; I don’t want to give your build out since you might not want it out.

But overall good job on the healing/support playstyle!!! Not many necros want to run around as a support but I always enjoy it when I am bored of killing! xD

Thank you! I love this play style and try my best to get the most out of it. You are right it definitely is a nice change from killing things with power or condition.

How about sharing that build you’re using? I love to see diverse builds (although I’m going broke buying all the gear to test them out). It can be boring playing the same thing all the time.

Let’s all work together to reduce the number of 30/10/0/0/30’s out there. ^^

I like support necro, but I think this seems to have a much larger impact on the well side of support rather than the healing side of support, which makes me wonder if all that healing power is really worth it. Imagine if you threw in some zerker trinkets, and how much harder you would hit (and thus help down) with all that guardian might.

I watched and just didn’t see the kind of healing numbers I might see from an equivalently geared guardian or elementalist. Seems like smart play with wells and any stats would be just about as good.

I enjoyed it though, it looked about like what happened when I ran clerics in a support build (though I took 20 in Death magic to get bigger regen area coverage). Very dangerous to get covered in conditions in this build, and very reliant on someone else to pull them off you. (sorry putrid mark.. RIP)

This was a test run of the builds playstyle with cleric armor water runes- pvt/celestial accessories. Definitely not optimized but it still worked decently. I may be wrong but i think life transfer crits effect transfusion (Again could be completely off with this) but i have seen 4k+ heals after some 1.3 2.2k’s heals. I want to test it with Magi gear as well.

I normally run shroud fighter builds with target wells 30/10/0/0/30 knights/cav LB pierces for zerg busting. Recently switched to 10/10/20/0/30 soldier/zerk cav/zerk accessories for death shivers which is beyond amazing and under utilized imo.

All of our builds rely on each other to support each other so condi clears arent a big issue. We tend to fight 2:1 3:1 odds and are often victorious.

I have ran that build with magi gear, it did ok for me but then again I mainly roam when I wvw. Ya glad you found a build that works with your other guildmates build. I am on AR WOOT!!!!! and we lost quite a bit of people but working our way back up. But my guild has at most like 5 people in wvw at a time so we cant do gvg and such it looks like so much fun. But at last I will never know the feel of a zerg fight with having people who know what they are doing.

Hehe I was on AR too! A good portion of the guild is from AR all pvpers too so its tons of fun!

All of the fights were against JQ, where are fights against good servers/guilds?

Yah it was against 1 guild, have tons of other footage on my hard drive

I believe that too. i have full PVT, wells do the same thing and heals with regen and Transfusion seems to be same as well. then bought apothecary to follow Batekai. Helps a lot in dungeon. haven’t wvw yet.
