Q:
Hello!
I have a few questions regarding WvW Zerg Necro builds:
1) Power or Condition damage? Which one do you recommend?
2) What type of gear set? Berserker? Rabid? Dire? Or any others?
3 )What weapons should I be using on WvW? Staff for zergs seems to be the norm but what about roaming/weapon swap?
Thank you!

A:
1) For large scale WvW, power wells is much better then going for condition. As far as i know, there are 2 builds that are mostly used: 6/2/0/06 or 0/4/0/4/6. I personaly prefer the second one.
2) You need to find what you are most comfortable with, in terms of survivability. I first started prety tanky, with lots of knights and cavalier gear. The i started to remove some cavalier and add some zerker until i found the right balance for me.
Some can play full zerker, some need a bit toughness, so i would suggest to find what is best for you.
3)Staff is a must, the second set is usualy axe/dagger, but you can also use dagger mainhand or warhorn offhand.
If you’re zerging a Power Wellomancer build would probably be best for group fights/tagging. Condition is still good with its added survivability + Epidemic for condition spread, but I think its better for small groups/roaming.
Power – Berserker (Glass Cannon) or mix in some Soldier/Knights/Cavalier for some extra survivability.
Condition – Rabid/Carrion
Carrion has better dps with the added Power, but I like Rabid for the added Precision to boost Barbed Precision and use on crit sigils. Still its not necessary since Condition damage isn’t dependent on crit chance. It basically comes down to personal preference.
I always carry a staff whether I’m Power or Condition. Theres just so much utility that its really a must have for group fights. As for alternate weapon sets the most common are:
Power – (Mainhand) Axe / Dagger + (Offhand) Warhorn / Focus
Condition – (Mainhand) Scepter + (Offhand) Dagger
Alot of this depends on what server your doing this on. I dare you to try large group fights in zerker on a t1-2 server.

LOOOOL zerker necro is the way to go for zerg fights, i play in maguuma, and even using full zerker i never die, using 6/2/0/0/6 full glass cannon, just need to learn how to properly range DPS enemies and you will be fine, remember, even using full zerker u have 40k+ HP if you combine you HP pool and DS.
Necro has the highest AOE damage potential for zerg fights, localized damage+ soft CC, so not using zerker would be a waste in my opinion, just learn how to dodge, using you healing skill properly and you will never die.
This video is not mine, but it is a perfect example of what a full zerker necro can and should do on zerg fights.

If your playing from the perimeter then I guess you can go full zerk. I rotate frontline and periphery.
