Hey everyone, this is my first post in the necro forums. I run my necro in my guilds zerg and wanted to show everyone my build. Please give me any tips, compliments, questions or anything really.

This build focuses on maximizing the efficiency as well as damage of both wells and marks. It does not give boons as a good amount of might, fury, regen, and swiftness are constantly up in a zerg fight. However, something I do frequently is switch the scepter for an axe and use it to gain retal. The signet is used as another heal because in a zerg fight it can heal for an insane amount, plus the movement speed is always nice. I would switch the signet out for a stunbreaker/well of darkness/spectral wall, you definitely dont need the heal it gives, you got 26k hp and 2.7k armor. And swiftness should not be a problem in a zerg. Axe instead of scepter because retal is amazing and the boon removal helps.
Right now I dont use any points in death magic because it is just not worth it, but with the coming updates unblockable marks might be worthwhile.
I also prefer using 30 in soul reaping for last gasp and stability on DS and other awesome traits.

For blowing up blobs I use 30/10/0/0/30, 1.5k toughness and 22k hp, so my offensive stats are fairly high, you really dont need that much defense as a necro imo…, for more serious fights right now I personally consider 20 in curses and 30 in soul reaping a must.

Spectral wall is awesome dude, you should definitely stick it in! Lay it just behind your well of corruption, watch them hit the wall right as their stability get stripped and laugh! Then as soon as it expires drop your Reaper’s mark just in case.

I’d also switch your Adept blood trait for Ritual of Life – more healing for your group is always welcome.

A bad necromancer always blames the corpse.

Well in Death Magic you get the increase area of marks…That seems to be one of the most important traits

The default radius was increased and you will hit 5 target anyway in wvw (zergs stack etc, hard to miss :/), even if the marks are a bit smaller without the trait.
