WvW power builds?
In wvw aoe and cc factor into survivability a lot, and those two are inherently stronger in condition builds because you’ll have alot of +condition duration, which means longer chills, fears, weakness etc.

I started out with full carrion as well but then gradually shifted to soldier’s (and Matriarch’s Quill and Plague Idol) with the ascended trinkets, which makes the build even more aggressive and tougher at the same time.
A good starting point for a pure power build go with knights gear and wells. The basic Axe power build with staff or dagger (I like the staff alot more) 30.0.20.20.0.
For solo running going head to head with players of skill you will get stomped by people worth a thing with a power build. (talking good players here not average)
Pure conditions is serving me better against higher quality targets, however power + wells drops multiple average and below average players faster. I do run a heavy staff focused condition build, kind of like Flows but its all rabid gear.
Necro is hardmode if you want to solo have no doubt.
