Hey, I am having troubles selecting a proper race for my necro.
Iam kind of stuck between human, Sylvari and Charr for the most part.

I already have a asura necro but not sure what I feel about it…
What do you guys think?

Asura?
Norn?
Sylvari?
Human?
Charr?

You should definitely go Sylvari. Deeefinitely should be a Sylvari. I mean, look at Drahvienn for Grenth’s sake. Sexy kittenin’ salad

Sylvari! all the way. for them, it would be more like being a druid – fleshy druids conjure with living wood, woody sylvari conjure with dead flesh =)

But a major character in the game’s story is a Sylvari necromancer. So there’s a lore reason for Sylvari necros. On top of that, Sylvari aren’t all dark and depressing about it. They see necromancy as just another way to learn about life and study the world. Which is an awesome viewpoint

Asura helps a lot if you PvP. Necro has a lot of slow cast times and animations and feels so slow that the smaller the character the more fluid it feels imo.

Aesthetically probably human female since most things in game are made for it.

Charr is my favorite race but anet can’t design light armor for them at all.

@L Step, that is true. I just wish there were more options but no, they all are heavy armored fighting machines.

I suggest a humanoid main, simply cz lots of armors look bad/undestinguishable on asura and charr.

As second, definetly charr, just walking around with it is always a breath of fresh air for me.

Nothing beats a charr necro

Charr Necromancer is the most manly and has the best voice acting of all races

I really liked my beta charr necromancer. You can make that really dark and kitten if you want.

Okay! I am home from work! First off, thanks to all who added pictures and helped me!
I think its safe to say, the two most popular opinions in here is Sylvari and Charr.
And even Donee replied and helped me. I had already seen your beta weekend vid a couple times and I really likee big animations and kittenery!
