Your bleed ticks
I’m pretty sure I tick more like 140 without corruption or food, and only 20 in curses, I’ll test it out later though if no one else answers.
Would appriciate that, its ridiculous to me, 170+

I have 1450 condition damage and tick for 115. No might, no corruption stacks that is with my hybrid build.
Full curses, Rabid gear and undead runes, I tick about 140 without food. I’ve seen 155 with food, and about 15 stacks of might. I still have 2 rings and a trinket to upgrade to ascended before I can really max it out.
K so seems i have 1540 condition dmg, only actually ticking 119 after ive just attacked a target in WvW.
Most i have gone up to is about 130, so what the hell….

Wait arent Ascended trinkets only a few points in stat difference from exotic variants?
Even if i got all that ascended stuff i doubt that 50ish or whatnot boost in stats can get me from 119 to 140.
I also have full curses, rabid and undead.
So please enlighten me as to how you tick so much?
Full exotic rabid +undead, no food/sigil/might = a bit more than 1600 condition dmg
according to wiki that’s 122/tick
And I have all pink trinkets except earrings that are exotics.
188 (somewhere around there), is the highest I’ve gotten, with 25 stacks of Might, Master Tuning Crystals, Rare Veggie Pizza and 25 stacks of Corruption. I don’t have optimal gear – Carrion – and I don’t have Undead runes. But I do have 30 in Spite.
The only way your friends are getting their Bleeds that high is through optimal gear, consumables and 25 stacks of Might.
1587 condition damage bare bones.
signet of corruption + rare veggie pizza + master tuning crystal gets me to 2062.
That’s 145 per tick before might.
Rabid, undead runes, no consumables or might gives me 126 a tick with 1664 condition damage. The numbers most seem to be posting are pretty consistent.
Well kitten me, can the master tuning crystal really make that much of a difference?
Will need to look into it, they arent cheap for someone like me who spends his entire time in WvW.
So yeah, you would need 2750 condition damage to tick for 180. I am hitting for more like 120-130.
The ascended trinkets are only a little better than exotics, but there are no upgrades with both condition damage and toughness for trinkets, except crest of the rabid. The ascended gear is thus a bigger upgrade than normal. Both the runes of the undead and the tuning crystals convert toughness to condition damage, so traiting into death magic helps too.

You and i seem to differ in those 120, cant figure out what gives you that though since we both use Rabid/undead.
Are all your trinkets Rabid too?
And what do you place in their upgrade slots?

Got 20 in Death Magic, i just dont know from where im lacking atm to get to at least 130-140.
Ive gotten that Phylactery ascended ring just now, and the difference between that and what i had before was barely 10 points in the condition department.
Ascended rings/earrings and back piece with fine infusions of +condition damage in the offensive slots. That could be it maybe?
I’ve been around 105-130 through various builds, that’s only counting gear/food. BiP will add 17 more or so, more with might, etc.
But just because you are condition build, I wouldn’t worry if others have higher, doesn’t mean your sole objective is to get your bleeds as high as they can go. There are worthy tradeoffs to make to gain other things and still put out very good condition damage.

As condition duration and a adicional tick on barbed precision, an adicional tick on fear, an extended duration on exceptional conditions as chill and weakness, etc,
Maxing this stat in a mindless way is not the best choise at all, even in a condition build condition damage is just another stat,
I know undead runes sounds awesome in combination with rabid gear, but there’s best ways to improve your condition damage that doesn’t revolve around maxing your condition damage,

Engels is right. I like my build for dungeons and some PVP, but condition duration also helps your weakness and chill durations, your fear durations, and can boost your long term DPS quite a bit.
My runes are for bleed duration, but after Blood is Power my Condition Damage can get to 2250, and when fighting Risen Priest of Grenth last night I was seeing ticks of up to 182. I’m sure I could get it higher, but then I think I would would be sacrificing some of my 100% Bleed cap.
Also, forgot to mention, the 182 ticks weren’t only my doing. I had teammates also giving me might.

To get that high, max might is usually required. I myself rarely tick for more than 140. I use full carrion gear, 6 runes of the afflicted (the duration is better than the damage increase from undead), along with tuning crystals and rare veggie pizza. At that point I’m usually at 1600+ condition damage, which hits for 123 or so per tick.
However, I don’t have completely pure condition equipment. There are a few things that can be added to really push it:
Armor/Weapons/Trinkets: Rabid
Runes: x6 Runes of the Afflicted
Sigils: Sigil of Superior Corruption / Earth
Build: 20/30/20/0/0
Food: Rare veggie pizza + quality tuning crystal
Sits at 1674 condition damage. The sigil of Corruption adds an additional 250 to come to 1924. 25 stacks of might can come to a total of 2799 (rounded to 2800). This causes bleeds to tick for 182 damage.
I can’t see a way to get higher than that.
Ok. Let’s just calculate:
For a 200 dmg tick you need (200-42,5)x20=3150 condition damage.
We’ll have 25 stacks of might (875), sigil of corruption (250), 30 points in curses (300) and nourishment (140) =1565, so all that is left is gear: 1585.
At this point I’ll mention that we will need the runes of the undead and for them to be most effective we’ll also go 30 into death magic. The base condition damage on it is 183. I’ll add the 6th bonus later.
Btw to my knowledge Dark Armor still doesn’t work with deadly strength or runes of the undead. (This would increase a bleed tick by exactly 1 during a channeling skill)
That means we need to get 1402 condition damage through gear.
Major stat on armor is 315, 179 on weapons, 570 on ascended trinkets (+30 infusions)= 1094 condition dmg.
For the rune bonus:
Minor stats: 224 + 128 + 376 = 728 toughness +300 traitline.
We would also eat tropical mousse (100 toughness +70 condition damage).
And let’s assume that by some miracle we are able to get 25 stacks of might without blood is power (is that even possible?), and have 8 minions on the field at the same time (for protection of the horde): jagged horror, 2 bone minions, 2hounds of Balthazar instead of the golem (I’m assuming they count as minions too…?)
Protection of the horde works with the rune btw.
So an extra 160 toughness here.
The rune itself has 50 toughness.
That means the ideal case is: 916+728+300+100+160+50=2254 toughness. = an extra 112,7 condition damage.
Bottom line: 1094+112,7=1206,7. We would need 1402 for a 200-bleed-tick (Or: 1206,7+1565+183=2954,7 out of 3150), so we’re 195,3 short. That’s 9,765 per tick.
So unless I forgot something the absolute maximum a bleed tick could possibly get is 190.

Base toughness is already there.
So that would be 2254×0,06 = 135,24. Let’s say we go 10 points into bloodmagic so we get 1016 vitality. x0,04= 40,64.
So 175,88 and 1 extra for 2 weapons, that means that our total has to be incrased by 106,88 =3061,58 condition damaged
Still 88,42 short, but the maximum this way would be 195/tick

I have been at 164. i used full dungeon gear with condition damage, ascended rings with cond damage etc. and +25 stacks of corruption aswell as might. I also had food buff which really healps.
Its a long time since i did it, so i dont remember every detail.. i am now a happy wellomancer ;S
Biggest bleed ticks I ever pumped out where 190 with 25 stacks of might on a bunker-c/dam build. That was lots of fun with a ‘human experimentation’ group that had 2x mesmers 2x guardian group on some particularly bad zergs… yes the bleeds where bad, they where somewhat pale in comparison to the confusion and fire epidemics mixed in with it
That build could consistently pump out a 163 tick by itself though with BIP+Food+Crystals and 25 stacks of corruption. (only in exotics, didn’t have ascended then, so it would be a tiny bit higher)
Sort of more mellowed and running a slightly more tactical-build now for support and some more hit points.

He said the number there does not include 25 might stacks and sigil. So you need to put them manually in the calculator once you open it. If you do that, you’ll se it hit 3030 cond. damage and so 195/tick bleed damage.
I usually tick from 134-146 depending on stacks.
Highest I have personally gotten is around 186 per tick.

Don’t forget that vulnerability adds damage to your bleeds. 20ish stacks of vulnerability makes a huge difference in your condition damage.
I have definately seen high 180s, low 190s before in fractals with around max might stacks (3 warrior group with BIP), running undead and full rabid gear. I don’t have ascended accessories, but the rest should be at the theoretical max for Cond/tough/prec.
It is rare that the stat setup of rabid is worth taking in fractals, but if you have no bleeders, I like to run it when I can.
I see a wide range of dot ticks in WvW from 128-350, mostly in the high 100s and low 200s. I have seen larger ticks but I have no idea what was causing damage to moving targets in towers. Some guildies have called it burn damage ticking for 500-700 damage, but I have no way of causing damage myself. I was the whole prec/tough/cond built for a very long time and went nowhere in WvW. I went full Carrion gear and increase my power/cond runes. You dont stack bleeds in WvW like the prec built for dungeon crawling. I dumped the whole dungeon mindset and focus totally on cond damage, power, and food. No Prec or duration! My over all performance in WvW shot up when I stopped treating players like mobs in dungeons. Crits dont affect dot ticks, but maybe they help on the intial attack used to determination the ticking damage? I still wish to see high dot damage with so much cond removal out there.
You are prob. seeing the ticks from poison, which hit harder than bleeds, in the 300s.

Yeah, vulnerability only affects direct damage.
In sPvP/tPvP where we don’t get alot of the awesome gear that you pveers/wvwers can I can easily get 120 a tick

I tick 192 with the following build, 25 stacks of might, and 25 stacks of corruption (typical when I run L48 FotM). If I had the money and cared enough to get a bunch of +5 condition damage infusions, I’d tick 194. I break 200 if there’s a Warrior in the group using the Banner of Strength.
All I can say is that I wish the Necromancer had some way to inflict burning besides Epidemic (1000+ a tick!).
