So I’ve been running an axe/focus build with 6/2/0/0/6. I’m really enjoying it in pve. Putting up some big numbers in full zerk gear and still have great survivability. Anyone on the fence of running full zerk or not liking daggers might give this a go.
Basically I use focus 4 axe 2 wells then pop DS and maybe toss in a liche form if I’m low on lf. Easy rotation and seems to be pretty kitten effective.
I do have a question for anyone else using this build. Do you think wells are the best utilities to use? Or is there a more optimal set up? Seems like the well aoe is needed because of the lack of cleave on axe. Thanks

Lack of cleave is the main reason I don’t use axe.
I just really enjoy the weapon set. Good burst! Then I have a might and vulnerability stacking 6k auto attack in DS that also pierces.
Blood is power could be useful for you, depending on the situation (open world: yes, dungeons with support: not so much,but depends on grp and if you are might capped a lot).
If you use DS extensively, which is likely, then don’t use signet of spite. The passive power bonus doesn’t apply in lich/DS.
Also well of suffering is a must have for most situations.
Apart from that the build is not optimal but certainly not useless. If you enjoy it then stick with it since the dmg is decent.
It really depends, i dinamically swap stuff depending on the situation. Usually wells are safe, but since i have already aoe with DS1 pierce and rune of aoe damage on crit ( don’ t remember the name ) i usually go for Blood is Power and leave wells to utility and Corrupt boon if i know the enemy is going to use boons ( few, but happens. and if you see a dredge with 25 stack might it is appealing…).
If you are facing the unknown don’ t bring more than 2 wells, who knows if you will have time to land them under the enemy feets…
I didn’t know that signet of spite didn’t scale with liche or DS. Thanks for that info. I was using that with my two damaging wells mainly so I’ll be swapping that out. I guess I’ll stick with blood is power unless I need a survival or other utility. Thanks again.
