.. my last and final 80. Asura is the only race I dont have and for some reason I just dont want an asura necro. Wish my Guard was an Asura instead of norn, hate how they swings swords. Anyway, Whats a good trait line/ weapon set to start with? ill be lvl 20 right away from the boost and I have a bday booster plus exp booster so ill be on the fast track

imho, while you level up, you should use your minions, and trait accordingly to give them more power, more life, and lich life. I normally use power-related weapons, such as axe or dagger, to help them. And the ever-useful staff.

Around lvl 60 or so, you should start thinking about respec your traits into a full powermancer, a conditionmancer, or an hybrid, according your playstyle and personal tastes.

I know most people prefer going power or minion master for necro leveling, but I enjoyed using conditions, though that may be due to the way I play. I just can’t level a class that focuses on single target damage… too slow for my liking. I tried MM but found they’re just too stupid and don’t do groups very well. Consequently my Necro languished until I found the beauty and awe that is Epidemic. Round up a group of mobs, fill one up with condi’s and then Epidemic.

For PVE leveling I’d go mainly curses and bloodmagic using scepter/dagger and staff.

For leveling, I’d also go with minions and traiting for those. And I also leveled mine with an emphasis on condition damage rather than power. While leveling, I used scepter/dagger and staff the most.

Now, once you reach 80, it’s a different story. I switch between a condition build and a zerker build on mine (and have gear for both cases) now.

Remember to choose any of these icons when making a necro.

power (so mainhand dagger/axe… but staff is useful for aoe bombing…)… i found blood magic to be nice whilst levelling my two necros
