are chillmancers going to be a thing?
I honestly have no idea, sorry. The return on investment for chill builds right now is kind of low. Chill by itself does no damage but I imagine it would be more effective in tower defense situations where red circles and Epidemic are less avoidable. If opponents are funneled through narrow areas, a combination of soft CC like chill and poison can be devastating. Battles become condition bombing and nuking versus cleansing and reflecting.
Nope. Providing a potentially high amount of chill isn’t worth it when you realize that you can’t do much else of worth.
Greatsword might actually make a chill build work because it will provide a lot of chill with relatively high uptimes without giving up too much.
I’m not saying this is a good idea, but just a cool sounding one.
Add a trait that makes chill do damage.
Frostbite…
Huhuhuh.?
I thought about a trait like that a while back, but it would probably be too strong, and we already have terror. Also, this is another reason to put an ice field on one of our wells, more aoe denial.
extra dodges, real stability, mobility skills,
burst skills, sustain, or good support. GG ANET.

I had something like this in mind. but unlike terror/fear, it would deal direct damage whenever chill is applied, similar to halting strike.
would need an internal cooldown tho, so plague and wod wont become too ridiculous.
Gunnar’s Hold
You could have direct damage when Chill is applied, or simply give a +% modifier against chilled targets, more easily. It would go a long way to helping chill builds since they very usually have to lose out on other modifiers, and depending on its location could help our PvE DPS a bit.
