been reading up on the 100% condi duration cap and found something that struck me as odd. maybe you kind folks can help me out.

condi duration caps at 100% but i read that sigil of paralysis effects fear duration on TOP of the 100% cap making fear a 115% duration. Since people can use stun breaks to break fear, it only makes logical sense. if i use runes of the undead, i can get 10% condi duration and pizza can add another 40%. with the 50% fear increase from traits, i still sit at 100%

I am using runes of the necro for the 20% fear duration and the trait for 50% fear duration. I was under the impression that even with the 20% on necro runes, the 50% on trait and the 40% from food would still only leave me at the cap of 100% and not 110%. I also read that the bleed duration from scepters trait can put bleeds over the 100% cap too. Is this because it is bleed specific?

am i mistaken that the fear specific increases should help you get over the 100% duration since they are fear specific? All i really need is the 100% increase since fear only ticks once per second. using the runes of the undead effects all conditions and i dont need to be at 110% in addition to the rare 5% fear from 6 runes. Or, maybe i could get to 100% without using food.

Fear can only be pushed past +100% because it is also classified as a Stun.

Lingering Curse is the only way to push bleed, poison, and cripple past the +100% limit because it changes the base values of the skill. It isn’t bleed specific, but it is Scepter specific.

There is reason to get more than 1 second intervals, especially on fear. That is extra time when they are not using any skills, even forgetting the damage. From the damage perspective, if you time your fear right with the other damaging conditions, you can eke out an extra tick of damage (now 4 ticks as opposed to the prior 3).

I use 30% (spite), 40% (food, or 36 is also fine), 20% (necro rune), 15% (paralize sigil).
