For the ones who have played darksiders 2, you surely have come across the reaper’s form of Death. The functionality is very similar to Deathshroud: you enter a special form that lets you perform special skills. In Death’s case, the reaper form makes him use a huge scythe with which he melees.

What comes closest to a scythe for necromancers is the staff that automatically morphs into a scythe when you use skills. I’d rather have staff be melee and use it as a scythe rather than throw out an ugly bolt of shjt.

We already have axe and scepter as ranged weapons, not counting Deathshroud that is a ranged option for any weapon combo. Only mainhand dagger is currently melee.

I would rather like axe range to be increased, so to become a decent power ranged option and for staff auto to become melee so that we can swing it as a scythe, leaving boring marks as they are. Alternatively, leave weapons as they are, which is still boring, and make DeathShroud auto a melee scythe swing, just like reaper’s form, instead of throwing a superboring lifeblast of shjt that throws your weapon (wtf?).

Would make necro way funnier and kitten. I’d actually love a total remake of the staff/scythe but it won’t happen.

I would rather not see necro getting those melee changes you are proposing we can’t handle that pressure, I am one to wonder why Locust Swarm applies cripple instead of weakness,why are our cast times so long on most skills… they didn’t make necro melee friendly I see dagger as range utility weapon vs players for immobilize and ranged target based siphon, that why I expect the GS to do poorly on necro vs players ,mobs are dumb anyway so it will shine there maybe.

Also kitten DS in a kitten hole most kitten hindrance we have. Necro = mini PvE boss, that’s why why we are so slow, don’t have active defense and rep HP sponges everywhere. Fun and better suggestions but the necro since alpha can’t handle that and probably won’t after a couple decades.

Hell yeahh I’d be down with this if it was done right. Something would have to be done about our range. Even though staff auto sucks the way it is, it’s still our only consistent 1,200 range damage, and a spellcaster that’s helpless at range doesn’t seem right at all.

I agree with you on the staff revision as a whole. We are supposed to be the awesome dark evil spellcasters that manipulate life force and death itself. Yet our main weapon- the staff- Is without a doubt the most BORING 2h weapon in the game. (Besides the tiny animation that turns it into a scythe ofc)
