Not sure this has been in before, but I just noticed that my lifeblasts range shows 900 when I have dhuumfire traited. Is this a bug? It does not say anything about altering range on the traits tooltip.

I just tested it and it isn’t just the tooltip. It changes both the tooltip and the range to 900. It may be an oversight.

Very doubtful that’s an oversight…

Probably some HoT pre-nerf

well now I can pretty much forget even trying to make that trait work. Life blast has been an important tool when I need that extra range.

thought people noticed this already :p i guess having burning on 1200 range is not ok with Balance (Ahem)

Bad trait is worse…

All necros agree that Dhuumefire is the most useless trait we have now.. especially since its a Master

Dhuumfire is meh anyway. even as a condi build the damage is negligible as the burn doesn’t last long enough to stack decently.

Yeah I actually noticed I’m getting more out of range messages on life blast than I should be getting on my dhuumfire condi build.

It’s obviously a bug and hopefully gets fixed.

I don’t know, if it was just a bug they wouldn#t have made the effort to change the tooltip would they? But it’s a pretty strange thing to stealth-nerf when the trait is so mediocre in its own right. Condi builds don’t have enough life force generation to stay in DS very long, and, even if you do, the burning application is terrible due to Life Blast’s glacially slow attack speed and how easy it is to dodge it.

Welp, based on the patch notes, this is fixed. Along with a number of other little changes.

I’m actually impressed by the breadth of things they addressed in this patch.

They still haven’t addressed the 1 shotting lock down shatter mesmers.

U know I u played a little defensive with invun block or Condi clears even stunbreaks. U be able to survive the shatter lock mez..i laugh when I’m on my necro cause if they traid for some Condi I send i back and watch them melt
