fear buged?
yes its bugged but in Anet terminology it works as intended as it based on luck .. if you lucky you fear enemy and maybe survive if you not you dead .. but generaly its bug since i rember, im playing necro over year, its the second necro downed state bug after downed health bar .. which they fortunately fixed but it took them 6 months to do it
Were you blind? Thieves have learned to hit you with their pistol 5 blind field for the secure stomp.
Another one to watch out for is berzerkers stance.
can’t remember any blindness or any berzerker. and what about the dmg ticks? usualy it was fixed at 2 if traited right, now u can get even only 1 or none.
Things that can make you not get fears: Enemy having melandru runes, you not being actively engaged in combat with the enemy, missing the timing and the easy chance of you not clicking the enemy/them being oor/los.

I have so much annoyance with this. That stupid blind field is impossible to do anything about as a necro. The pulse is faster than I can auto attack to remove the blind, and then cast my fear before it reapplys.
It is an uncounterable death sentence making the downed state a waste of time. Not that the downed states are even remotely balanced to begin with.
ok lets say we r getting blinded etc… but anyone tested dmg on fear? how many ticks does one get. cos its weird that it ticks 0 or 1 or 2 with same fear duration.
edit: ok im testing it again doom and ripers mark got same duration 1 3/4 s. Doom ticks 3x while ripers mark ticks 2×.

FYI tooltips are bugged.
I used the downed fear on a warrior and it gave off an Immune response. He didn’t have stability or berserker stance activated. No real telling what happened.

Which does exacly 1 tick per second … Nemesis gets 100% fear duration thus increasing our 1 second fears to 2 second. Doom below 600 range has a base 1.5 duration, so it becomes 3 second. Which is exactly 1 tick per second. Again.

If one of you weapons was a staff it could have been this bug that’s been around awhile.
