i really hate ground targeting skills. 1 or 2 is enough. when i play mesmer, i used only 1 or 2 ground targeting skills. especially chaos storm. there must be a trait that i can change ground targeting skills to single target skills for the everyone who hates ground targeting skills. it will make more various viable nercomancer builds. i am very stressed whenever i fight against fast running enemies. but the staff has the bleeding skill. i must use staff for bleed. i really hate it. you developers must remove bunch of useless traits. and make a trait that i can change ground targeting skills to single targeting skills. and also make a trait that i can use most skills instantly. almost every skills are not instant. i am very stressed whenever i use a skill. i like necromancer but i hate ground targeting skills and the skills that are not instant. it is very inconvenient for me. i don’t care damage is reduced by 20% or 50% because my skills are instant. i just hate ground targeting skills. 1 or 2 is enough. it is crazy every skills are ground targeting. also there are two ground targeting skills in scepter+dagger. this is madness of ground targeting.
Must i be a ground targeting maniac to play a necromancer? and i want to summon many things as necromancer. it is more easier and simple and stronger than those current necromancer skills. those weapon skills must be summoning skills like mesmer phantasm skills. it is not necromancer. it is ground targeting maniac. he just uses many radius skills not summoning things. there are only 5 summoning skills. but i really don’t like those 5 minions. those 5 minions can’t be the main damage dealer. and it is only 5 and one is healer and another one is too small and weak and another one is just too weak with just blind. weapons skills should be as strong summoning skills as mesmer.
i will change my bleed build to other build because of those ground targeting skills. it is annoying and lame. 4 skills are just same ground targeting skills. it is lame. it is not creative and it is not various. single target or no target. the skill will be cast on the position of my character instantly.
Ground targeted wells, ect should have the option of being cast at the location of the mob targeted. It should be a setting like auto-attack, you can turn on/off.
I haven’t found it very difficult manually doing it. Eventually its second nature. The cursor targeting I’ve found too unreliable under hectic situations.
The 1 thing I remember about WAR that was brilliant was the duel target system. Enemy/friendly. Awesome, but pointless in this game since you have almost no reason to track group members due to no true support/healing mechanic.
Cast the well on the foe location work only if that character do not move, if he is running the well would be cast in an appropriate location, instead you have to learn to target the well a little bit ahead of this trajectory.
Although I agree too that option would be very useful, mostly in PvE.
