Since warriors have many ways to gain stability, and fear it’s our only disengaging source, i’m having a hard time against jugg warriors, they lock me down and tear me down in a few seconds, any advices or strategies ?

Alrighty, that helps. I have more experience as a condition necro but did run a power roamed build for a while in WvW. First, you need to get rid of that stability, bait it out with doom or reaper’s mark, but do not chain them! Chaining then means with one stunbreaker they burn two of your fears.

Now, as for the stability itself, that’s simple, corrupt boon it or spinal shivers, or well of corruption, or chill of death. If that doesn’t work, try to stall them with dagger 3’s immobilize.

After stripping the stability, you’ll need to look out for their berserker stance as well, since that will block your fears. Your fear timing is key to secure the kill, as well as interrupt their numerous bursts. You might to run spectral grasp as well to keep them from running away, as well as have another CC. If they try and tray with you using AA, I think (think) you can outdamage them with dagger. Plus I you haven’t burnt through you DS entirely, you’ll techinically have more health.

Try and keep locust swarm up as much as possible to make it harder to get away from you, as well as because it adds a good chunk of damage, and is great with sigils such as air and Fire nova.

Really, that is all I got, so seek advice from others. I’m not the best necro on here, I’d say I might be barely average.

I assume by juggernaut warrior you mean the rampage elite skill?
If yes:

check his elite skill

When a fight starts, you must check his status bar to see his boons if it has the usual fury, might, swiftness from signet of rage or if you see him activate his signet, even better. Then you know he is not a Rampage warrior.

If he fights without those usual boons from his signet elite, then prepare yourself for the juggernaut!

Know the skill

Rampage has a gap closer and 3 stuns! It also pulses 3 stacks of stability, gives swiftness and reduces duration of movement impeding skills by 33%, and takes 25% less damage

Know the strengths

Rampage has hard to strip stability (not impossible!), swiftness uptime that allows him to stick to you, all the stuns that are deadly to a necro if he has no stability, and if traited for, has very high immunity to movement impeding skills, and takes 25% less damage

how to counter as a necro

I play hybrid necro in WvW, so I can’t say for PvP. But here are some things you might want to incorporate into your build which will help you against a Juggernaut.

1) Elite Plague skill

Easiest way to counter an enemy stability pulsing elite is to use your own stability pulsing elite. It is important to check from the start of the battle if the warrior is a Juggernaut or not. If he is, try to save your elite plague skill for when he transforms. There is practically nothing he can do in juggernaut against your elite plague skill.

2) Elite Lich skill

Same as above. Save it for when the warrior transforms. Elite to counter elite. Stability to counter his stuns. However, this skill does not share the same insane boost in toughness as Plague and Vitality. So you will be trading punches with the warrior and both sides will hurt.

3) Corrupt boon

One of the Rampage’s strength is stability. Use it against him! It is corruptible and gives you that short duration of breather and he will still get feared.

4) Path of corruption

Same as above, corrupt it!

5) Spectral walk

Much harder to pull off, but use it as a break stun, dodge or double dodge if you see his boulder, jump stuns etc. coming and spectral return to kite him. But don’t forget he can gap close to you very easily so it won’t be easy with just this skill, but it makes it harder for the warrior too.

6) Wurm

Same as above, kite and juke him for as long as you can to wear out his Rampage duration

7) Well of darkness

Very few necros run this in WvW solo roaming I think. But it helps negate Rampage for a short while.

Thats all I have. Go kill those Rampage Juggernauts!

I would honestly just try and create distance until his elite wears out. Otherwise try to strip stability when you can.

8) Foot in the grave

Stun break on entering deathshroud with 1 stability. pretty useful against a juggernaut.

Okay, here’s what I do to deal with all transforms, this includes Lich Form, Rampage as One, Plague Form etc.

First, you must have Corrupt Boon. If you don’t have corrupt boon or the well that converts boons to condis then I’m sorry, you dead.

STEP 1: Time your corrupt boon for when the stability they have resets. (Doing this allows you to have enough time to chain all your boon conversions and fears together so that they are locked down.)

STEP 2: Use corrupt Boon

STEP 3: If Corrupt boon is successful, immediately jump into DS and use Doom (fear). (If you have Path of Corruption as one of your traits, using Dark Path here will convert the next Stab boon that appears, giving you more fear uptime.)

STEP 4: If you’re fast enough you can also chain it into Reaper’s Mark Staff #5. This has pretty much wasted a bunch of their time in whatever form they are in.

STEP 5: Combo Staff 3 and 4 to apply weakness to the target so that their damage won’t be so great for a short while.

Step 6: Jump into DS and stay there till the timer on their Transform expires.

If you’ve got Path of Corruption and Warhorn, you can chain Dark Path with Warhorn #4 for a 2sec Daze or 3s daze if you’re using Banshee’s Wail.

Chaining all of the above together can be 8s or more of downtime for the form depending on your spec.

If Warrior uses Juggernaut, Ele uses Tornado or Necro pops a Lich, activate Plague, press 2 and follow them. Counters almost all damage, has same or shorter cooldown, they will lose hp to poison and your form lasts longer.

That simple.

Lich isn’t great here. In transform vs. transform 1v1 scenario, Rampage wins. 1 stack of stability isn’t enough, they attack faster, you take full damage, they get reduced direct damage.

If by “Juggernaut” you mean Skullcracker, FitG with NtD will do the job and nullify their stuns pretty easily. Just don’t get baited and wait for full one.

thx for the tips guys, the corrupt boon + putrid mark allows me to win most of 1v1 fights now, i only lose if somebody comes to help or if i do some mistake.
