i fought a wvw condi engineer twice using elixir x and i died in seconds.
he stacked a couple of burns, bleeds in seconds, and moa me before i could transfer

and even though i was dodging in moa i still died in seconds to the burn

and its not possible to see the moa animation and dodge in time

Random dodge moa.

Insta transfer with signet and pray he dont random dodge.

Peck him while in moa and pray you proc traited plague signet.

The engi’s necro domination has started! lol
I really don’t know how to help you out with this because i never found one in WvW, yet. But in Spvp they are an kitten

It’s even better when they have a friend along… Thief + Engi = No chance of fighting back if they moa you. insta-melt -.-

This is a bit unfair. The condi eng has one, and only one shot at killing the necro. and thats the moa. They have very little non condi dmg or condi clear and if a necro gets the transfer, the eng implodes.

darn does this mean there is another class that hard counters the necro?

i think even if I am in shroud, if I get moaed, I am forced out of shroud…so I cant tank in shroud.

that combo will likely down anyone who isnt healthy enough to survive the double Moa

unholy sanctuary might just save you if you didnt melt yet.

there is no real way to counter it . You will just have to maintain your distance and watch his buff bar. when an engineer successfully dodges an attack they will gain a buff for a short while that will recharge their next used toolbelt skill which includes Moa if they are traited for double Moa. for that time of the buffs duration watch the engi and maintain distance to see the vial thrown at you, blind, Fear or Chill and run. The cooldown on the trait is 40 seconds.

Between traited plague signet and removing condi in DS or procing Unholy Sanctuary to counter the Moa, you’ll most likely melt. I try to draw out the moa on my time before US procs to make sure I can get out of the other moa if its a double engi team

sounds like US is the answer to this burning + moa attack…

i checked my stat log he was ticking 2k+ burning on me every tick and dropped me to 10% HP in the few seconds I was in MOA and i died instantly after I left moa -_-

Have you tried Well of Power?

you would have to cast it before u get combo’ed and necro only defense against it is 2 dodges
