If Rocket Charge is only 2 leaps then it should look like 2 leaps
True Shot should be cast on the move
this is about pvp and more specifically dueling
i played reaper this and last beta weekend and really, i dont think its that much stronger than base necro as people said it to be. some people said its over powered, but i haven’t find it to be game breaking at all
i build up shroud and then pop it and it breaks in like less then 6seconds against a single person. i’ not sure Wat is happening but i feel my shroud getting melted down is faster than my base necro by far
or maybe i was just doing it wrong? Wat trait-lines i should run?
i tried running soul reaping spite and reaper for the blighter’s boon and might on shroud auto and didnt like it that much
mainy because i have to auto attack in shroud which i dont get to do very much
i then tried running blood magic instead of spite and found it to be a bit more to my liking because ds 2 ad 4 siphon a lot of health
i was feeling pertty good about my self won a few unranked ques and went back to dueling arena
i then fought a daredevil and got even score of 3win 3 loss
after that fought other reapers and won against them 80% of the time~12-16 duels in total
i fought a chrono mancer and got only 2 win out of 12 duels
then i fought a dragon hunter and got 1 win out of 5 duels- really really hard to fight
granted the dragon hunter is rekting everyone elese in the dueling arena
(tho sometimes i notice the block virue blocked me even tho i hit him from behind)
so i went back to base necro and, well kitten , i have easier time fighting almost everything i have fought before, except mesmer/chronos which just melt me (as usual)
and i also had a easier time fighting other reapers as base necro
so really, unless i’m doing something miserably wrong, i dont feel that reaper is that much better than base necro.
going back to base Necro and being more succesful could just be the fact u had 3y of practice on that and will take some time to get that skill with Reaper ofc…
but for the Reaper Shroud it does deplete wayyy faster then Death Shroud so its NOT you
On my reaper I eat regular necros for breakfast.
But yes I do think for some people, you’re just more familiar with your base necro, and Reaper plays like a whole new class. Necros are more like a ranged tanky caster, while Reaper is more melee tanky caster. Different playstyles, it’s entirely possible you are simply more comfortable playing a caster than melee.
It’s not a Reaper vs Necro issue here in my opinion. It’s more with the fact that you’re simply more comfortable and have mastered base necro over years of playing it.

so it does have a difference depletion rate
welp
but why would a melee shroud suffer a drawback i mean, its suppose to be tankier, and i dont feel reaper damage is that amazing, its cool but now people r getting the hang of dodging it, where people r still the same regarding base necro cause duh its been around for years

Reaper shroud definitely doesn’t decay faster, its just that you are melee and take more incidental damage. I’ve had entire fights where I barely ever leave shroud, in fact its possible to gain LF while in Shroud simply from AAing.

true but still it degen too fast =[
i now found that base necro had better chance against dragon hunters guess that’s a pluse
