Guild Wars 2

Ok so iv been playin necro for a couple of weeks now an I really like it, im almost lvl 40 and my weapon of choice is axe/focus with staff alt, im a little unsure which way to go with traits, iv got my gear all +power and precision and I play axe and jump into ds an much as I can but iv not found myself using the staff and feel im not makin the most of whats available to me so I think I need a few play style tips too. Any help would be great, thanks

Imho the minionmancer is the easiest way to level up. You can see the base build I use for it here (is for PvP, but you can use on PvE):

If you want to use a power + precision build, the default first step is to look at Spoj’s or Nemesis’ guides and builds. Both are very complete. You can find Spoj’s here:

For a powermancer, the first set of weapons you will use normally are dagger/X or axe/X, depending on how you play, and which are your religious ideals. imho, staff is a very good second secont “set” of weapons, that let you attack from afar when you need a break on the fight.

Read the guide, test the build, and feel free to adapt it to you, and to keep asking about tips and help here. But, again, at lvl 40 you still doesn’t have all the traits to completely set a build, so i suggest you to only stick to some minions, and let them do the work for you until you hit level 80.
