necro combos
I’ve been mostly staff/minion, but one of the better combos I’ve used is Chillblains/Reaper’s Mark. Chillblains slows and poisons, and Reaper’s Mark is good to drive the target into Chillblains if my aim is off, or if I need to distract a target from the other group members.
Part of the utility of a necromancer is in the way their skills are designed — no single skill offers a ‘perfect solution’ for every situation.
I use a power/well build. My favorite combo is start in staff drop mark of blood, chilblains, then putrid mark. Then drop well of suffering, blow up two bone minions then pop DS 4. Works great and everything dies.
I do essentially the same as you, save that signet. Unfortunately if I want any maneuverability at all I am forced to use the signet of the locust (or take the trait Quickening Thirst). I find I can still kill things fairly quick just using BiP, epidemic, Dagger(4) to pass conditions, and finally DS(4). I have a D/D build that works very well with this; anything still standing I widdle down with a few swipes of my dagger.
Blood is Power >>> Corrosive Poison >>> Deathly Swarm (dagger 4) >>>> Dagger 5 >>> DS 4 (then end DS so you can pop it again later for fear/terror to finish off stragglers assuming you use the trait) >>> then mop up stragglers with a few dagger hits/life siphon as needed and DS as mentioned above. I use signet of spite for extra damage, but really you can use anything you want and do just as good. You can down massive amounts of enemies like this in very short time.
Another combo I use is bone minions, flesh golem >>> well of suffering and/or corruption (its actually best not to stack them and just use them in succession) >>>> pop a bone minion in a well to get the blast finisher >>>> 2nd well >>>> flesh golem charge to mow them down >>>> pop 2nd bone minion >>>>then proceed with your marks as usual if you use staff, or I like using axe myself and I’ll roate between the axe skills and some DS until minion recharges are up and repeat the process. You can take down tougher enemies this way than my first method, but not nearly the amount of enemies you can handle with the first one, so it’s a tradeoff. There is another version of this I use that’s basically the same except you sue only 1 well and use the bone fiend instead for projectile finishers along with the blast ones from the bone minions. Only problem with it is as we all know the bone fiend dies fast so you have to have good healing and utilize well of blood and the DS #4/ DS end heals to keep them nice and healthy. Just take note this one is more a direct damage and would benefit a power build more, whereas my first one is kind of balanced with dps/conditions so gear accordingly.
~Surrender fiend and you will get an easy death
~I could promise you the same…but it would be a lie…
Dark Pact-Wail of Doom-Wells-Dagger Autoattack
Works everytime.
