What does a necromancer have to do with the economy?
Not the economy. Just that we are the least favored class atm. We are outclassed by everyone else in terms of damge and Utility. There is zero reason to bring a ne to to group In pve.

lol ok i was confused by your original post. I agree, necro needs some pve group love for sure.
Necro is good at:
- cursed shore event farming (power necro; good damage, usually hits everything to get loot, has way better sustain than ele, even if full zerk) or more general: open world content
- wvw (roaming and zerg)
The class has its place in the game. I usually switch between my elementalist (dungeons, spvp) and my nec (wvw, open world). Can’t complain. You cannot expect every class to be good at everything, because “good” is always relative to other classes.
They are good in sPvP as well.
I think a common opinion for PvE is to “not bring a Necro” but that’s just that… an opinion. If you are doing PvE with pugs, you’ll likely encounter some toxic people like that here and there, but if you do PvE with friends, bringing a competent Necro is perfectly fine. I do dungeons with my guild as a condi Necro (who can’t even break structures cuz they are unaffected by condi damage) and we have no problems.
There’s many who will disagree though.

I want a good power weapon tha t cleaves but i heard that we getting great sword so hurray. Second I want I good team oriented utility. most of the others classes have one. Ele has auras. Condition removal for guardian. rangers have their spirits. mesmer have their portal plus their endless reflects which makes them really useful. Also fix our life siphon and minion A I. It makes me feel bad when I take out my minion.

was it confimred that greatsword is going to be a power weapon?
i mean, we already have power melee, condition melee is kinda rare in the game and condition greatsword would also be kind of unique.

Dagger is our power weapon that cleave.
As utility you can use Plague signet, well of power for condition removal and Spectral Wall for protection remember you can trait for each well you do will apply protection too.
For the life siphon yes it’s true it’s not totally worth it, but just keep in mind Death Shroud + siphon health = very hard to kill, add some minions to that and we’ll be almost unkillable.

Take note that I’m talking about pve here and I’m not interested in pve But dagger only cleaves for 2 ppl. That why so many neceo bring wells for aoe and trait life Blas to peirce as well. If dagger hits more than 2 ppl I’d be so happy and u would not ask for another power weapon.

Which means who gives a kitten – power necro is perfectly fine for any dungeon or PvE content this game has to offer ESPECIALLY if you are running with PuGs who run stupid kitten like Staff Guardian and Bear Bow Max Range LB Ranger
Yet people continue to make threads about Necro needing to be fixed and how useless it is! Why is this exaggeration and regurgitation continuously happens is beyond my understanding when most of you PvE players will never be dungeon speed clearer this is a problem that affects less than 1% of the population lol my goodness
As a support oriented build, necro can: Heal nearby allies with life transfert, give AoE stability and convert allies conditions into boons with well of power, clean conditions on allies at regular time with plague signe, clean conditions on allies (always taking it on you) with Unholu martyr trait when you are in DS and revive allies with signet of undead.
If you really want you can do something for your team, expecially about conditions.
Then, in PvE a direct damage necro can deal very high damage. Full berserker in DS with 80-100% critical chance is a very good dps, more good than other classes (and live longer than almost all the other classes in dps builds).
If you play a condi necro you can’t be the best in pve because pve have some structural problems that make your conditions useless (enemy stack of bleed can’t go over 25, even against world bosses, or if you burn you enemy you can wait 10 sec before you see your burn damage, the same about poison) but if you play a direct damage build your damage isn’t lesser than a ele, a ranger or a warrior dps.
In WvsWvsW, Necromancer is the main source of damage for well organized groups, can hit 5 enemy for 4k of damage every sec, 5k with lich form.
In sPvP a good necro can hit you very hard, can cancel enemy boons and allies conditions, use a lot of fear skills and full you of conditions in a sec.
Necromancer is a very good class atm and if nobody want you in a dungeon is only because they’re all noobs that think that a necro is only good to do condition damage.

no one’s is saying that necro is useless but they can be Improved. As it stands right now we are severely outclassed by any other class Or at the very least fix our minions. I don’t know why ur so angry. If this thread is offensive to you feel free to leave.

I suggest one of the changes should be an elite for death shroud. Maybe something like:
From Death to Life:
Apply torment to yourself and sacrifice life force in order to revive up to 2 nearby allies. You sacrifice 40% life force per ally.
Radius 600 Cast time 2s Cooldown 180s
It could look like life transfer reversed :P
