this is what my idea on my MM build would be. Mostly pve with a random pvp or wvw here and there.

just looking for suggestions and opinions.

also idk which armor or runes to go with because im noob with necro so still dont know whether to run with power or condi

Idk whether its better or not but for my MM I use axe/focus instead of dagger warhorn for vulnerability. 25 stacks means 25% more damage from every minion (not life steal). Also instead of soulreaping I use spite. There’s vulnerability on chill, vulnerability on DS, vulnerability on striking a target under 33%, and might and increased damage on targets below 50%.

I’m still using PVT gear in PvP, I’m still the point defender haha. I like to use axe because it prepares the victim (stacks vulnerability) for when the cavalry arrives (hopefully), ie. the DPS members of your team.

the only reason i use dagger is because of the speed increase i get from traits which helps a lot especially with running around to points and different areas

Dagger also has the best auto for any necro weapon by a significant margin (50% better than axe,) and quite good life force generation as well (8% every 2 seconds, which is better than the axe’s 12% over 2.5 seconds with an 8 sec CD). Plus, where you’re in PvP, Dagger 2 is a decent secondary heal. So, there are other reasons to use it mainhand

Hey there. It is nice to see more people joining our ranks as MM’s.
Let me suggest you a few hints on pvp base:
1) you should get a stunbreaker. lucky for you we have a minion that also act as a stunbreaker too so go for it!
2)blood fiend wont do the trick in pvp, in fact it wont do anything in any game mode you should consider changing your heal skill.
3) take vital persistance on soul reaping! You have transfusion and death perception so you could benefit vital persistance more.
4) this last one is actually about my play style and it is just an idea. Why not take Unholy Martyr? With necromantic corruption and 4-5 minions you can help your team a lot.
For pve;
1) there will be lots of aoe so you need a backup plan when all minions are dead and in cooldown. I would get specttal armor instead of shadow fiend to ensure i will survive even when no minions left.
2) dagger is a good choice of weapon and staff is a must for any MM, but horn might be a pain in pve.
