I am trying to figure out the best way to increase damage output burst wise in SPvP without Lich Form.
any ideas?

I am assuming a power build since you’re running lich?
use locust swarm, immobilize a target, drop wells, go into ds, use 4 and 5. One of those things should proc your air and fire sigils, and the rest are nice damage to multiple targets.

Alternatively, take the down state damage trait, kill yourself, and then burst them down

I personally run dagger /warhorn dagger/dagger. I try to blind stomp people with the dagger/dagger set, but its not necessarily the best idea. dagger/warhorn + staff is more normal.

You can blind stomp with staff and wells and it’s aoe, I usually throw down a well to prevent ressing, but you could use it to try and blind stomp people

DS#4 is actually bad dps unless you are striking more than 1 target. Also always cast 5 before 4.

if you want necro burst this is my suggestion
try to pick targets at the 50% threshold
swap to staff with a air and fire sigil
lifeblast

in total if done correctly you will hit him with
air sigil
fire sigil
lifeblast
Chill of death (remember it does the most damage vs target with 3 or more boons)
doom optional (doesnt really do much damage)

It means sacraficing dagger dps if things go south while stomping. Like i said, not optimal, and certainly not for everyone, but its my prefered way. It works especially well on guardians who apply burning and such, so you throw their condis back along with a blind.

Let me actually clarify: i run a very strange build that happens to work for the group of friends i frequently run with. So yeah, probably DONT take d/d over staff.

Make sure you are using the right build

If you have wells and have the trait Death Perception try to enter DS after dropping your wells. The trait affects every skill while in DS not only the DS ones, increasing well crit hit chance by 50%.

Well first of all the necro shouldn’t be the one trying to stomp unless it’s plague, fitg, or lich (wouldn’t lich stomp anymore better off cleaving and fitg is iffy as well) so basically unless your teammates are completely stupid don’t be the one stomping.

If things go south staff is a better defensive tool than d/d and normally a power necro still has access to that dagger with warhorn for interupts and the best lifeforce building skill you have. it’s not like dagger kittens very often with the ridiculous wind up and cast time.

also due to our dumb kitten class going double melee probably isn’t the best idea for spvp, you would be super screwed at the start of every game without a way to at least build a little lf by range. With just dagger at the beginning the only way to build lf is dagger auto. Which means you’ll probably need to stand on point and get aoe nuked with no lifeforce.

Also staff 4 will do the same thing as dagger 4 and transfer the guardians burns and blinds, albeit a little higher cooldown and the ability to make it unblockable if you really want too(wouldn’t suggest anyone trait into dm).

No putting points into bm or dm. If you do you’ve just turned a heavy hitting GLASS cannon with 40k health into a cardboard cannon that hits like wet noodle and has like 8k more health or something like that.
