Guild Wars 2

In this game I mostly do just story, map completion, and world bosses no dungeons. Is this something a necro can do well in compared to other classes? I am using power necro now for dmg, and not sure what ranged weapon to use yet for world bosses tips there would be nice.

Mostly getting ready for reaper as I think greatsword and the new reaper shroud will end up being better then dagger necro or so I hope. Was trying to gather others thoughts before I start leveling to seriously

Any class can do that pretty well. With world bosses you want range, and rest can pretty much be handled by any build.

Find yourself a good build you like and youll be set.

I’ll necro manger’so dps is still on the fairly low side, but now he can be an amazing anchor if need to be in arah/high fractals with pugs -tho of course I play powermancer

It’s totally viable to run a necro in open world PvE, in fact, every class is viable.
Since you are a power necro, for world bosses I have either axe/focus or staff for ranged combat and then dagger/warhorn for general combat (trash mobs, etc…) For ranged you also can use Death Shroud and spam Life Blast (skill 1).
As for utilities, I always run Well of Suffering and Well of Corruption with the Signet of the Locust for that 25% speed buff (in open world exploring). Sometimes I switch the signet to something else, depends on the situation. For the elite, go Lich Form.
