question about the flesh wurm
1) 900 I think. Never used so don’t know how good at that it is.
2) Yes I believe you can, not sure on range though. Maybe worth using spectral walk instead though?
On how well it hits people below, it should depend on the location of where you set it loose. Obstruction is most likely an issue which you should consider.
Regarding the second point, I did try using it (for the first time as I’ve been avoiding minions other than flesh golem) in swamp fractal. Especially for the teleport part.
I believe that you can’t use it to teleport back on top of the wall if you jump down, as it appears to have similar limitations other blink/teleport skills have. So, if my theory is correct, you end up next to the wall.

This is correct. Flesh Wurm on top of a wall will not get you on top of said wall.
The range on flesh wurm is 1200.
The problem with it is, even if you put it close to the edge, if someone runs directly next to the wall or close to it, the wurm will miss them but get stuck targeting them and become useless, also, the wall gets nuked constantly so your wurm will have about a 2 second survivability factor. It definitely has it’s uses in wvw, but being a wall mounted turret is not it (although in theory you’d think that would be the perfect job for it, sadly it is not). Use it more for a backline ranged attack that the bone fiend SHOULD have been as well as a stun break/ gtfo card. It will not tele you up the wall, it just slams you into the side of the wall. I’m not saying it absolutely can’t be used on the wall, you’re just gonna see real fast what a bad idea it is. And yes the range is 1200 but it’s a true 1200 not the staff 1200 that you can force to go a little farther lol.
~Surrender fiend and you will get an easy death
~I could promise you the same…but it would be a lie…
On the other hand, assaulting a tower, it also has its uses, since you can put a decently hard-hitting minion where it will do the most good: with a clear line of sight to enemy defenders.
1) Wurms on walls are good for distracting the defenders. When they are killing your wurm they are not killing your allies. However I won’t use it for offense. Its attack does pack a punch but its attack rate is very slow.
2) The wurm teleport only works within a distance of 1,200 and only on flat ground. It cannot teleport you “back up” to the wall. You are much better using Spectral Walk for this purpose. Wurm teleport is more useful in a zerg vs zerg situation. It allows you to be more aggressive than normal, since you can retreat back to safety anytime you like.

Way I see it, it’s either a distraction (if they pay attention to it) or free damage(if they don’t). Either way, you win.
